My Story
A lifelong learner, explorer, and lover of the outdoors with an insatiable curiosity for the world.
My Travel Style
I love travel that balances movement and rest: hiking long trails or beaches, skiing fresh snow, soaking in the views, then unwinding with good food and a luxurious place to stay. Whether I'm exploring a new culture, chasing snow, climbing a mountain, or enjoying a beautiful pool or beachside view, I'm always looking for the best blend of luxury, adventure, and authentic cultural experiences.

It was a fantastic trip! I appreciated the efficiency of our zoom call and narrowed down options that were presented. The coordination with La Valise was nice as well, and made the trip feel extra special. (5 stars)

Sophia was an excellent travel advisor and helped booked beautiful hotels for my trip to Mallorca and Barcelona that I never would’ve found on my own! Booking through her also provided me a free upgraded room, late checkout, and welcome drinks during my stay. She took care of planning and clearly communicating all of the logistics of my trip so I didn’t have to worry about a thing and could just focus on enjoying my trip! She also checked in during the trip to make sure I didn’t have any issues with any reservations. It was a fantastic trip thanks to Sophia and already can’t wait for the next trip!

Planning trips was always so much, but working with Sophia was a game changer. After our initial conversation she came back with great options and helped me make the right decision for our trip. She brought great local insight and made sure the full itinerary flowed seamlessly.

Sofia was wonderful to work with. She was knowledgeable, communicative and really worked to understand our intentions and fulfill our requests. Her personal travel experience benefitted us because she was extremely familiar with the area to which we were traveling and had great suggestions for activities and dining. She was quick to respond to our questions and we appreciated her help with not only the planning but also with the presentation of the itinerary, it was lovely. She also sent reminders as our trip got closer to fruition and checked on us via email during our travels. We were grateful for her personal touch.

Sophia always goes the extra mile. She plans your trip as if it’s her own trip, thinking about all the details and giving you plenty of options.

Lānaʻi: Off-the-Beaten-Path Babymoon
Plenty of people think of Hawai’i for a babymoon, but for those seeking something more unusual and off-the-beaten path, the small island of Lānaʻi is the perfect babymoon location. It offers all the sandy beaches, beautiful pools, and luxury of other Hawaiian Islands but with the small charm and adventure that only an island of 3000 people can offer (Larry Ellison famously bought this island, so it still has many of the modern amenities that an island of this size typically wouldn’t have). As soon as you land on the chartered flight (included in your stay at the Four Seasons Lanai or Sensei Lanai), you feel worlds away and are embraced by the warm hosts of the only two resorts on the island.

The Ultimate Guide to Skiing Hokkaido
Japan (or Japow as it’s often called by ski buffs) is an incredible destination for ski lovers seeking abundant fluffy snow and a new cultural experience. The northern island of Hokkaido is the mecca for skiing in the country and offers several impressive resorts. More advanced skiers will love the off piste skiing in the trees (Japanese skiers don’t typically ski in the trees, which means they aren’t very crowded), while less skilled skiers will enjoy the immaculately groomed and gentle slopes. After a day on the slopes, there is nothing quite like a good Japanese whiskey, omakase or curry, and a soak in an onsen.

A Nature Lover's Guide to Aspen
While the glitz and glam of Aspen sometimes overshadows the natural beauty, there are few places in the US that have the same access to both unparalleled outdoor activities and food. I grew up going to Aspen as a kid and have seen it change a lot over the last couple decades, but at its heart it’s still a mountain town with awe-inspiring views. There is nothing quite like starting your day with a sweaty hike up Cathedral Lake or ski down Highland Bowl and ending it with a fantastic dinner and luxurious stay.
