San Martín de los Andes—A Patagonian Fairytale
Like most people visiting Patagonia, you may be tempted to follow the Seven Lakes Route, spending a short time in each place—a quick stop in San Martín de los Andes, another in Villa La Angostura, and then moving on. And yes, you’ll come back with beautiful pictures. But based on my experience, I have one piece of advice: to truly live Patagonia, you either need a long stay or the decision to choose one place and remain there. It may be hard to choose, but you won’t be disappointed. I chose to spend four nights in San Martín de los Andes—and that’s when I stopped passing through Patagonia and started truly experiencing it.

Rediscovering Home: My Stay at Regency Park Hotel, Montevideo
Though I’m now based in Buenos Aires, my roots belong to Uruguay. Moreover, I used to live in Montevideo and worked in Zonamerica, just steps from Jacksonville. That’s why I can’t believe it took me this long to discover the Regency Park Hotel—such a calm and elegant retreat located right there. The moment I arrived, the lake, the trees, the green landscape, and the quiet of the gardens felt like coming home. This place isn’t particularly touristic—it’s the kind of spot only locals seem to know about. And that’s exactly why it feels so special. These are the secrets worth sharing, so here are my recommendations for a wonderful stay.

Say Yes to China
You may think you know China—the food, the temples, the Great Wall—globalization made it all look so familiar. But do you really? I went to China expecting exactly that: spring rolls, ancient sites, cutting-edge tech. What I found was something deeper, warmer, and more surprising than I ever imagined—a country that connects the past and the future with quiet confidence. Say yes to discovering it for yourself, because that’s why we travel.
