I first visited Mykonos and Santorini with my family nearly 15 years ago, and it remains one of our favorite vacations to this day. Liguria is one of my favorite regions in Italy to plan trips for and the perfect home base for a week of exploring. Rent a car and spend your days discovering everything from iconic destinations like Cinque Terre, Portofino, and Genoa to smaller hilltop villages where you'll often stumble upon some of the best meals of your trip. Summer is an especially beautiful time to visit (although it gets hot!), with long days perfect for sightseeing, beach clubs, and leisurely aperitivos by the sea. Be sure to indulge in the region's incredible cuisine, from fresh seafood and handmade pesto to warm focaccia and crisp local Vermentino wines.

Crete offers an incredible blend of history, natural beauty, and authentic Greek culture. From ancient Minoan palaces and charming mountain villages to crystal-clear beaches and vibrant harbor towns, the island has something for every type of traveler. This itinerary balances iconic highlights with lesser-known experiences to help you experience the many sides of Greece's largest island.

Lake Como is the perfect honeymoon destination for couples looking to relax in luxury. Think boat days on the lake, charming villages, beautiful historic villas, and incredible Michelin-starred dining. Easily pair a week in Lake Como with Tuscany, Paris, or Switzerland for a longer European honeymoon. The best time to visit is typically May through September, when the weather is warm enough for boating, outdoor dining, and enjoying the lake at its best. June and September are especially ideal for honeymooners looking for beautiful weather with slightly fewer crowds.

Portugal is a year-round destination known for its exceptional food, wine (and port!), rich culture, and layered history. Whether you arrive with a thoughtfully planned itinerary or prefer to explore as you go, it’s an easy and rewarding place to navigate. Ideal for a long weekend from the East Coast or a more immersive, longer journey across the country, Portugal offers flexibility without sacrificing depth. Having experienced it both ways, each trip feels entirely its own, and equally memorable.

I love any excuse to go to Paris—whether it’s a family vacation, a long weekend with a partner, or a quick getaway with friends. It really does offer everything: incredible food, beautiful views, great shopping, nightlife, and so much history layered throughout the city. You can lean into the classics or explore a different neighborhood every time and it still feels new. Spring, in particular, feels like the city at its best—with gardens in bloom and mild weather that make it an ideal time to visit.

My sisters and I were craving a girls’ weekend, and London was the perfect choice with its incredible food scene, shopping, theatre, and easy access from the East Coast. In just 48 hours, we squeezed in afternoon tea, shopping on Bond Street, a stop by The Black Dog (of course), and a show in the West End. The perfect long-weekend getaway.

I fell in love with Japan the moment I arrived. The precision and modern energy of Tokyo instantly drew me in, while centuries-old traditions and historic sites sit just steps from its bustling streets. Some of the best meals I’ve ever had were simple bites under $5, followed the next night by a Michelin-star kaiseki dinner—the contrast is what makes Japan so uniquely special. After just a few days there, I was already planning my next trip.

Gruyères is a storybook village that invites you to slow down and savor Switzerland at its most charming. Between castle views, warm fondue, and visits to both cheese and chocolate makers, the day unfolds like a perfectly paced fairytale. It’s a romantic destination that is perfect for honeymoons, cozy winter getaways, and special anniversary trips.

Kyoto is a place where time feels beautifully suspended. From quiet temple paths and centuries-old shrines to hidden food spots and a standout bar that feels tucked away just for those who know, the city balances reverence with everyday magic. Wandering through vintage shops and intimate streets reveals a softer, lived-in side of Kyoto that feels both nostalgic and effortlessly refined. This itinerary captures the moments that made me fall in love with the city—unhurried, flavorful, and full of quiet wonder.
