Curator’s statement
I love any excuse to go to Paris—whether it’s a family vacation, a long weekend with a partner, or a quick getaway with friends. It really does offer everything: incredible food, beautiful views, great shopping, nightlife, and so much history layered throughout the city. You can lean into the classics or explore a different neighborhood every time and it still feels new. Spring, in particular, feels like the city at its best—with gardens in bloom and mild weather that make it an ideal time to visit.

Things to do in Paris

Shopping on Place Vendôme
Wander the Jardin des Tuileries: The classic central gardens between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde are perfect for a spring stroll or sitting by the fountains. It’s an easy stop to build into any day of sightseeing in the area.
Picnic along the Seine river: Pick up wine, cheese, and a baguette and sit along the riverbanks, one of the simplest and best ways to enjoy Paris in the spring. It’s especially nice in the late afternoon as the city starts to wind down.
Luxembourg Gardens: The gardens are beautiful in bloom with a more local feel, great for a relaxed walk or to sit and unwind. Grab a chair by the fountain and take a break from sightseeing.
Explore Le Marais: Spring is terrace season, which means it’s the perfect time to café-hop and shop. It’s also one of the best neighborhoods to wander without a plan. (My personal favorite neighborhood in the city!)
Seine river cruise: The perfect season to see the city from the water—especially with longer spring evenings. Enjoy a sunset cruise with wine.
Palace of Versailles: Versailles is best in the spring, when the gardens are starting to bloom. Rent a bike or golf cart to explore, or enjoy a private tour with a guide.
Monet’s gardens: Visit Giverny, about an hour outside of Paris, Monet’s home and gardens are at their peak with iconic blooms. Enjoy lunch at Michelin-starred Le Jardin des Plumes
Shopping around Place Vendôme & Rue de la Paix: This is the heart of Paris's luxury shopping scene. Even if you’re not buying, it’s one of the most beautiful luxury areas in the city, all within a short walk of the Tuileries.
Places to eat & drink in Paris

Brunch at Carette
Milagro: A truly special restaurant, where we held my sister’s engagement party—come for the food and stay for the incredible company and service.
Monsieur Bleu: A stylish restaurant with direct views of the Eiffel Tower. Request an outdoor table in nice weather for the best experience.
Girafe: As close as you can feel to dining beneath the Eiffel Tower, make sure to snag a reservation well in advance as they can be hard to come by, but well worth it.
Chez Janou: A family favorite of mine (credit to my sister for first falling in love with it!). A lively, trendy atmosphere paired with consistently delicious Provençal cuisine.
Relais de l’Entrecôte: Now with a New York outpost, this iconic Paris restaurant is known for its simple yet perfected menu of steak frites served with their signature sauce.
La Fontaine de Mars: A top recommendation for classic French dining, located in the seventh arrondissement and known for its traditional, bistro-style dishes.
Carette: My favorite brunch spot in Paris, best known for its classic breakfast offering with eggs, pastries, and rich hot chocolate.
Ladurée: A quintessential Paris stop for fresh macarons, also offering a lovely setting for brunch or afternoon tea.
Need to know
While Paris is especially lovely in the spring, there’s truly no wrong time, or reason, to visit. Each trip brings something new, whether it’s a restaurant, a boutique, or a quiet street you hadn’t noticed before.
