Day 1: Arrive & settle in
Lake Como
Arrive in Milan and transfer privately to your hotel on Lake Como. The lake region is larger than many travelers expect, and depending on traffic and your hotel location, the drive can take a few hours—making a private transfer the most seamless way to begin your honeymoon. After checking in, spend the afternoon unwinding by the pool or booking a relaxing couples massage to recover from the overnight flight. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely lakeside dinner outdoors as the sun sets over the water, the perfect introduction to Lake Como.
Day 2: Food & wine tour

Samplings from the food tour
After enjoying a complimentary breakfast at the hotel (courtesy of Fora’s preferred partnerships), set off on a private walking food and wine tour through Como. Led by a local expert guide, you’ll learn about the history and culture of the area while sampling regional specialties, local wines, and classic dishes along the way. During the tour, ride the historic Como-Brunate Funicular for panoramic views over the city, lake, and surrounding mountains. Afterwards, return to your hotel to relax or end the evening with dinner at Kitchen, a Michelin-starred restaurant known for its modern Italian cuisine and elegant atmosphere.
Day 3: Boat charter

Greenery at Villa del Balbianello
Seeing Lake Como from the water is a true bucket-list experience, and there’s no better way to explore the lake than by private boat. Charter a boat with a captain for the day and cruise past grand villas, colorful waterfront towns, and dramatic mountain scenery. Stop at Villa del Balbianello—famous for appearing in films like Star Wars and James Bond—to tour both the historic interiors and beautifully manicured gardens. Continue on to Bellagio for a leisurely lunch and time to wander the charming streets before ending the day back on the water, taking in the lake at sunset.
Day 4: Exploring Varenna

The town of Varenna
Spend the day exploring Varenna, one of the prettiest and most romantic towns on Lake Como, known for its colorful waterfront, peaceful atmosphere, and charming stone lanes. Wander the lakeside promenade, browse the small boutiques and cafés, and take your time soaking in the slower pace of the lake. Villa Monastero is a must-visit for its stunning botanical gardens stretching along the water, while Castello di Vezio sits above town with panoramic lake views. End the day with dinner at Visteria, an elegant fine-dining restaurant inside the Hotel Royal Victoria overlooking the lake.
