A California-based empty-nester who enjoys traveling the world and planning immersive trips. I have traveled to more that 30 countries, and I've been on every continent. I have lived in California my whole life, except for a few stints in Australia.
My Travel Style
I consider myself very well-traveled, with a hi-lo travel style. For myself, I often splurge on a few hotels and then sprinkle in a few unique, boutique, budget-friendly accommodations, just to mix it up. I want to meet the locals and get off the beaten path. I pride myself on finding the hidden gems in any destination.
I have worked in the travel industry for most of my career, and I live to travel.

Our group of ten girlfriends celebrated our 60th birthdays with a wonderful wine-tasting getaway to Sonoma, perfectly planned by Lisa. Additionally, Lisa was able to secure complimentary breakfast each day, a welcome bottle of champagne and room upgrades!! She did an exceptional job arranging our stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and provided great recommendations for things to do in the area — everything from start to finish was seamless on her end and I wouldn't hesitate to use her again!

We worked with Lisa Verbeck planning a 14 day vacation to Ireland and the United Kingdom which we took in late May. And Lisa crushed it! She provided an exceptional level of service which resulted in a FANTASTIC vacation. This vacation literally refreshed and rebooted us. She worked to craft for us a vacation that far exceeded our expectations. We traveled from our home in California to London, Edinburgh, St. Andrew’s and Dublin. Lisa handled it all for us. Great hotels in the right locations, flights, rail, sight seeing, transfers….you name it!
Before the trip Lisa spent time with us ensuring we had everything in place from travel documents, understanding excursions, itinerary, transfers, theatre and dining. It was as smooth as silk! She even met with us at our house just before the trip to give us our travel documents, additional information and review details and questions.
Overall, the level of service and Lisa’s in-depth knowledge ensured that we experienced the best value for a very high-quality vacation. We could have never done this ourselves. We had an unforgettable experience that we will always cherish. We plan to work with her again on our next trip. Thank you Lisa!

I enjoyed working with Lisa Verbeck for my trip to Europe, and I couldn't be more impressed with her services. As a traveler looking to find unique, affordable, and centrally located hotels on short notice, I was initially concerned about finding the right accommodations. However, Lisa went above and beyond to ensure my trip was smooth and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of my trip was attending a Taylor Swift concert in Madrid. Despite the high demand for hotels, Lisa managed to find me a fantastic place to stay that was perfectly situated in the heart of the city. This made exploring the area and getting to the concert venue incredibly convenient. She even recommended a museum that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Lisa's attention to detail, knowledge of the local areas, and dedication to finding the best deals truly set her apart. She provided personalized recommendations and was always available to answer any questions I had (even though there was an 8-hour time difference)! We recently returned from a dream family trip to Japan, and Lisa, our travel advisor, truly exceeded every expectation. She curated an unforgettable itinerary for our family of four in honor of our twins’ 21st birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary. Every one of the four hotels she selected was perfectly located, filled with thoughtful amenities, and even included complimentary breakfast—making each stay comfortable and stress-free. Transportation was seamless: airport pickups, train, and bullet train tickets, and even local taxi suggestions were all expertly arranged. Lisa provided us with incredibly helpful travel tips and recommended the best apps for navigating Japan, along with luggage transport services that made moving between cities effortless. We enjoyed three excellent tours—one in Tokyo and two in Kyoto. Although private options weren’t available due to our late booking, the small group bus tours Lisa secured were intimate, informative, and thoroughly enjoyable. Lisa’s value as a travel advisor was undeniable. Having used travel agents before, I can confidently say no one has ever come close to the level of care and attention she provided. She went above and beyond, making what was already a bucket list trip the best vacation we’ve ever had. We’ve already recommended her to several friends who saw our Japan posts on social media!
