I very much ascribe to the philosophy of travel while you’re able, and am doing my best to live up to that task! With a former career in pastry and wine, my travel revolves around food and beverage, with a side of history thrown in for fun. Researching an upcoming *potential* destination is half the fun of traveling. It ensures no “darn” moments of finding out about a must-see element only upon departure (as well as ensuring the best bang for your budget).
While I am certainly a points enthusiast, I prefer to utilize points for flights and instead stay in boutiques and local gems when possible. Private or small group tours with local guides are definitely a preference, as are the best local-owned shops, restaurants, and cafes. My alter ego is a real cruise aficionado and loves to cruise for the sake of cruising, as often as work allows.
