My Story
An experienced, food-obsessed traveler (58 countries), who thrives on planning trips that create unforgettable experiences. Jill has organized everything from city breaks and country escapes to road trips in Chile, Japan, Canada and Spain. She lived in London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Shanghai before moving to Valencia.
My Travel Style
My travel approach is adventurous, resourceful and open, thanks to a life spent exploring and several decades as a journalist talking to people. My passion for food and cooking — everything from street food to Michelin restaurants — shapes my trip planning. Accommodation is a vital part of every great vacation, and I like to mix it up depending on the location: a 5-star hotel in a city, a beach house, a boutique hotel or a unique stay in an igloo, yurt or castle. I prefer to skip touristy to-do lists and dig deeper into a country’s culture, supporting local businesses where possible. Above all, I love to use my experience to help others get the most out of their trips.

Nothing can lessen the stress of driving an upsized SUV through the narrow alleyways of Old Palermo looking for a car park, but Jill took all the stress out of planning our a three-week whirlwind tour of Malta, Sicily and Valencia. Jill's enthusiasm for travel and food is infectious and gave us lots of inspiration, suggestions, advice and tips, in order to get the most out of the short time we had to see so much.

As an avid traveler herself, Jill understands the needs of her clients. She asked me a few questions before my trip to better understand what recommendations to share, and set me up with a great app to plan out my trip. Not only did she make great recommendations but she followed up during my trip to make sure I had everything I needed. Great service and highly recommend Jill for any travel needs in Spain.

Andorra Guide: This Tiny Country in the Pyrenees is the Perfect Mountain Getaway
Encircled by Spain and France in the eastern Pyrenees, Andorra distills the best of this mountain range into just 468 sq km (180 sq miles). This tiny country of around 90,000 citizens packs a big punch in terms of natural beauty and draws millions each year to its world-class ski resorts. My recent September trip revealed the country’s laid-back summer side. Beyond the slopes, its capital Andorra La Vella, which is the highest capital in Europe, is the place for duty-free shopping (hence all the jewelry and watch stores lining the streets), casinos, and spas. Andorra isn’t just for skiers and shoppers. There are miles of trails around serene valleys, lakes, and old stone villages. A growing number of five-star hotels offer luxury spas and fine dining, and a chance to sip some wine from Andorra’s handful of local vineyards.

Sip Your Way Through Spain’s Lesser-Known Wine Areas
If you’re a wine lover heading to Spain, don’t stop at Rioja or Ribera del Duero. Some of the country’s most exciting wines come from lesser-visited corners—vineyards steeped in history and character, and surrounded by stunning scenery. These spots make ideal side trips from Barcelona, Valencia, or Santiago de Compostela. Here’s a quick look at some of my favorite wine zones and their vineyards.

Fine Dining in Spain: Five Restaurants to Put on Your Culinary Radar
Spain’s gastronomy scene has been steadily evolving since Ferran and Albert Adrià put molecular gastronomy on the map in the 90s at El Bulli. Their stellar legacy is very much alive today: Spain ranks in the top five countries globally with 291 Michelin-starred restaurants, of which 16 have three stars. For me, what makes Spanish fine-dining shine is a core of playfulness and joy that makes high-end food also fun. I’ve picked out five of my favorites worth booking for your next Spain trip.

Beyond Paella: A Guide to Vibrant Valencia
Valencia is an easy city to fall in love with. It charmed us so much we moved here three years ago. With 300+ days of annual sunshine, a historic old town, miles of golden city beaches, great food and an easy-going vibe, no wonder Spain's third-biggest city tops polls for its quality of life. It is also the perfect size and location for a multi-day break or as a base to explore the region. Valencia’s place in Spanish history is fascinating, from Roman times, to the 13th century reign of King James 1 of Aragon and the golden age of silk trading, to modern architectural wonders like the City of Arts and Science.
