My Story
I've lived in nine countries. The first two, Canada and Hungary, weren't my choice. I was a child. The next seven were. I wanted to know what it was like to live in India, Japan, Albania, Argentina, France, and the U.A.E. Now I live in Spain. That curiosity is more or less the same reason I travel now, and the same instinct I bring to planning trips for other people.
Travel Style
I am not the person to call about the trendiest new hotel. I am the person to call when you want the version of a place most people miss. My specialty is pacing: knowing how many nights a place is actually worth, when to move on and when to stay put, and where to leave an unscheduled day. That might mean four nights drifting on a private houseboat past elephants on a remote lake in Zimbabwe that most travelers have never heard of. Time at a snowy lodge at the end of a road in Lapland. Or a stay on a Greek island where the real magic lies in mountain villages and family-run cheese makers. Most people planning their own trips try to fit in one place too many, and the itinerary never quite recovers. I've traveled to around 80 countries, and I scout what I recommend. Every itinerary is built from scratch, with as much attention to the pace of the journey as the places themselves. That's why my clients come back.

Jane, we cannot thank you enough for planning our perfect anniversary getaway! We gave Jane our budget, general location, and time frame, and she sent us a beautiful itinerary. She is very responsive and great to collaborate with. She booked our hotels and rental car, researched activities and restaurants, and organized everything we needed. The hotels she found were truly unique places with history, beach access, homemade cookies, and large bathtubs and hot tubs that we requested. The timing of our trip was perfect - just enough time in each location, breaking up our road trip into doable chunks - 2 days in Cannon Beach, 1 day in Depoe Bay, and 3 days in the California Redwoods area. It was the perfect blend of nature, relaxation, good food, quality time, and excitement. Jane, thank you for all the work you did so we could just sit back, make memories, and enjoy a new part of the world.

Jane provided such a good variety of accommodations taking into consideration our preferences. It was so nice to have three options narrowed down for me. It made my decision making so much easier! The hotel we chose was a perfect fit for us!

Working with Jane was an absolute pleasure. She was always available, full of great ideas to help create an itinerary that perfectly fit our family’s travel style, and incredibly attentive to every detail. I’ve worked with other travel advisors before, but this experience was so good that I’m already planning another trip with her. Truly outstanding service, highly recommend!

I never would have found such a spectacular place without Jane's help. And I wouldn't have guessed that I could afford it! But with her help we got to go to this hidden and exclusive-feeling spot, and were treated and greeted as honored guests.

Castles, Convents & Palaces: A 10-Day Journey Through Spain's Historic Paradors
This Parador itinerary is a journey through the soul of Spain, where each stay is a living museum and every landscape tells a story. From a medieval castle in Sigüenza to the golden skyline of Toledo, the route culminates at the Parador de Santiago de Compostela, founded in 1499 and considered the oldest operating hotel in the world. It’s not just about where you go, but how deeply you experience it. This is slow travel at its most meaningful — rooted in place, culture, and timeless beauty.

The Spanish Coast You’ve Never Heard Of: An 11-Day Road Trip from Valencia to Barcelona
Underground rivers, volcanic islands, cliffside castles, and Roman ruins by the sea—this is the Mediterranean as you’ve never seen it. While most travelers rush between Valencia and Barcelona, they miss the incredible stretch of coastline that lies in between. I live here, and I’ve mapped out a 2-week road trip that winds through thermal springs, medieval towns, hidden beaches, and cliffside castles that rarely make it into guidebooks. If you’re ready to go beyond the tourist trail and explore the wild, beautiful, and often overlooked heart of coastal Spain, this itinerary is for you.

Family Adventures at Sea: A Transatlantic Journey on the Queen Mary 2
Our family's transatlantic voyage aboard the Queen Mary 2 was an unforgettable experience of slow travel, where the ship itself became the destination. For seven days, we sailed across the Atlantic, enjoying timeless luxury — including afternoon tea at 3:30 pm, formal dinners and even ballroom dancing. I bought my son his first sport jacket for the trip, and he looked like such a young gentleman in it! The elegance of the Queen Mary 2, from its grand library to lectures on maritime history, made the trip feel unusual and special. As a family, we embraced the journey together. We took watercolor painting classes and fencing lessons, played paddle tennis on the deck and watched for whales every afternoon from the hot tub. It was a beautifully slow, shared adventure that we really savored. For those seeking a different kind of getaway, this voyage across the Atlantic offers something rare — a chance to slow down, reconnect and immerse yourself in the simple elegance of life at sea.
