Everything went absolutely perfectly! We had the most amazing time, and I can’t thank Amanda enough for making this trip so seamless and special. We made it home safely—minus all the shells we collected (the airport took those, unfortunately!)—but the best part is that my husband is now excited to travel again. That alone feels like a huge win, and I truly owe it all to you! Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Amanda was a HUGE help every step of the way! From planning the most intricate details such as car pickups to even the broadest details such as where we are even going in the first place. Always suggested hotels, restaurants and travel options at multiple price points to ensure we had as much freedom as possible while still beind guided by her. We will definitely be returning to Amanda and Fora in the future for any travel assistance we might need!

We started planning out Italian trip with Amanda in November 2024. Amanda had tremendous patience as we started at 4 then morphed into 6 people all with strong ideas of what our trip should be. The first order of business was to get out travel itinerary in order. We eventually landed on Rome, Tuscany, Palermo and Sorrento hotels. Amanda had great suggestions for Rome, Palermo and Sorrento. We had a recommendation from a friend so we told her what hotel to book for Tuscany. We had several zoom meetings with Amanda and she helped guide us to secure the type of hotels we liked and made sure the tours booked were personalized. Amanda booked our flights from Florence/Palermo and Palermo/Naples.

Rome... The Hotel Hoxton We picked this out with Amanda. The Hotel was in Rome and was a city hotel. We arrived early and they let us upgrade our rooms from a balcony to a Terrace and we checked in by 10:30am. The room was a decent size for a city hotel (think NYC), and the bed and bathroom were a great size. The vibe inside had a bar in the front and a bar in the back with the middle area had couches and chairs. It had a very welcoming vibe and the drinks were incredible with a special mention to the best espresso martini's of the trip. The bartenders were all cool and tried to help with speaking Italian. The first night we did a golf cart tour. Amanda had a couple of Aperol Spritz’s waiting in the room when we arrived! Nice touch Amanda!! The cart accommodated the 6 of us and the driver spoke fluent English / Italian and knew Rome. The cart was a 40mph vehicle that went on the main roads. (not your typical golf cart), 2 of us sat facing the rear and we got to see the city at sunset. We saw the park, views of St Peter's, stopped at the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navrona. The sights were awesome, and our guide gave us a historical perspective. We of course drank wine on the cart and stopped for Gelato. The golf cart was a great way to get started on our Italian adventure. Rome day 2 Vatican and Colosseum. Amanda set up tours for the Vatican and Colosseum. I highly recommend having a private tour guide. It made the experience so much richer as it was just us and an incredibly knowledgeable tour guide. We got to see the entire Vatican, the catacombs where the Popes and St Peter are buried. The art, statues, paintings, Sistine Chapel were all explained. The historical significance and great stories provided by our tour guide made this an incredible experience. We also got to pass thru the Porta Santa “holy door” only open every 25 years during the jubilee. The second tour was the Palatine, Forum and Colosseum. This tour required much walking, so you need to have good mobility. The tour guide was again incredibly knowledgeable. It was incredible to see the literal unearthing of these ancient ruins. We got to see how they lived and our tour guide provided a historical perspective. The entire tour was educational and well worth the investment of time. We had a driver take us from Rome to Tuscany. The Hotel FonteVerde that we picked out was incredibly opulent and had 8 thermal spring pools and full spa. When we checked in Amanda had a fruit assortment waiting for each of us. Thanks Amanda!! The rooms were beautiful, and the breakfast, dinner and nighttime lounge were all top shelf. We stood there for 5 nights and took days trips to Florence, Siena, Centano, San Gimignano, Montalcino, and 2 Tuscan Vineyards. We eventually flew out of Florence to Palermo. My only self-critique is the Hotel was spectacular but the distance to get places was great. On my next trip it would be better to map out the destinations you want to travel to and then find a hotel that has the amenities desired with a more central location. That is a small critique as being in a comfortable van looking at the incredible countryside was a definite perk. Amanda set up our flights to Florence Palermo and Palermo Naples. We had to use 2 different carriers based on timing of flights. These smaller airlines Volotea and EasyJet have luggage weight restrictions. I had the phone app, and we upped the weight limit for a nominal charge. If you are flying get phone apps, it makes life much easier. Palermo Hotel Grand Hotel et Des Palmes. This Hotel was a classic Italian opulent Hotel. Amanda gets credit for this choice. The rooms, size, cleanliness were classics. I was celebrating a birthday in Palermo and when I checked in, Amanda had a birthday cake waiting. This was appreciated and so unexpected. We met friends in Palermo and had a great dinner at a local restaurant; we had an incredible birthday dinner at Villa Igiea the night before. The restaurant was spectacular, the service very personalized and the after-dinner drinks at an incredible bar made this a memorable birthday dinner. The next day we took an Uber and headed to Cefalu the beach region. Enjoyed a day of swimming, lounging and a few spritzes. We flew from Palermo to Naples and then were driven to Sorrentino. The Hotel Capodimonte was perched high on the Cliffs with beautiful scenic water views. The service, food and location were perfect. Amanda helped us pick this hotel, great pick Amanda. The location was great as we walked into the town center and Sorrento was just incredible. We did have a standout dinner at Ristorante Museo Caruso in Sorrento. The restaurant was incredible with white glove service, and I’d recommend a special dinner as priced high but worth it. We took trips to many cities on the Amalfi coast with all offering incredible views, great food and incredible people.

This trip turned out to be momentous. I thank Amanda for her help and perseverance in dealing with us. Her personal touches were definitely appreciated and her allowing us to integrate our ideas made this a great collaboration.
