Oia, Santorini, is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful places on earth. When people think of Santorini, they typically imagine the crystal clear waters, the stunning cliffs that overlook the water, and, of course, the white-washed houses and Oia's blue domes. In Oia, you'll find that most of the luxury hotels are built on the side of a cliff, boasting some of the most incredible views. Mystique, a Luxury Collection Hotel located in Santorini, is my favorite hotel in the world. The customer service and experience we received from the moment we arrived until we checked out was exceptional. Like many hotels in the area, Mystique is built into the side of a cliff and has cave-style rooms. Each room has its own terrace and is separate from the others. Our room's terrace included a hot tub, but there are other options with private pools as well.
The property is beautiful, with cobbled paths and multiple pools overlooking the sea and Caldera. Every room has a view, and you can choose either a sea view or a Caldera view. Upon our arrival, we found a bottle of wine and some sweets waiting for us in our room. Breakfast was included in our stay, and the food was incredible. It was served in an open-air dining room overlooking the sea.
The rooms are well designed and provide the extra comforts you would expect from a luxury hotel. The bed was comfortable, and there was a window in the room with a view of the sea, which was the first thing I saw each morning. Each room is built with curves and arches that add an extra touch of elegance to the room.
We visited during my friend's birthday, and when I let the staff know, even though it was late in the evening, they arrived at our room with a cake and champagne. The extra touch and customer service we experienced made our stay at Mystique a memorable experience.
