Weekend in Paradise: Retreat Class on Celebrity Reflection
Curator’s statement

We recently set sail on a three night weekend cruise aboard the Celebrity Reflection. While the itinerary promised sunshine, it was the Retreat Class experience that truly made it unforgettable. From exclusive events to seamless service, every detail was carefully designed to make even a short sailing feel luxurious.

Michael's Club (Retreat Lounge on newer ships)

Our itinerary was a round trip from Miami, featuring stops in Key West and Bimini. Embarkation was a breeze thanks to Retreat priority boarding (hello private elevator leading to Retreat only embarkation snack and drink area!). Once onboard, we had a delicious lobster roll from the Luminae, the Retreat’s private restaurant, and sipped on champagne in Michael’s Club (a private Retreat-only lounge) before most guests even made it onboard.

We dined exclusively at Luminae, where the staff were incredibly accommodating of dietary needs—including gluten-free, egg-free, and dairy-free options—and even remembered our preferences after the first meal. The food was fresh and beautifully plated.

In Key West, we took full advantage of the day. We made friends with roosters, enjoyed the colorful houses, and visited the quirky shops on our way to the Southernmost Point and the Hemingway House. Of course, no visit to Key West is complete without a slice of Key Lime Pie (and yes, allergy-friendly options do exist!). And of course, we made time for Cuban coffee.

One of the highlights of the entire cruise happened as we sailed away from Key West: a sail-away toast on the ship’s helipad, exclusive to Retreat guests. We were invited to the bow of the ship for sunset cocktails, watching the pastel sky melt into the water as the island faded behind us.

The next day, we docked in Bimini, Bahamas, where Retreat guests were among the first to disembark. Our favorite part of the island was floating where the ship docked. Once back on board, we capped off our experience with an intimate Retreat Soiree event at Michael’s Club, where we enjoyed drinks, conversation, and photo ops with senior officers. It felt polished but personal, like being welcomed into someone’s elegant home instead of attending a generic group event.

As our cruise wrapped up, we were genuinely surprised by how relaxing and indulgent the experience felt despite being only three nights. The Retreat Class touches—from the quiet lounge to the thoughtful service—transformed the short itinerary into something that felt like a true getaway. If you’re looking for a long weekend and a perfect way to try out the Retreat Class, this itinerary is absolutely worth it!

Need to know

Pro tip: Closed-toed flat shoes are required for the helipad. The helipad is also not wheelchair or walker accessible. Retreat guests have a private concierge available in Michael’s Club, a butler, a reserved section for the shows, and free room service. We made sure to order coffee and fresh fruit as our wake-up every morning.
