Curator’s statement
Scottsdale has this perfect balance where you still feel connected to everything, but far enough away to truly unwind. Staying at Four Seasons Troon North feels like you’re tucked up in the desert mountains on your own, it’s quiet, peaceful, and a complete escape from the city. I love how the views stretch forever and everything just slows down a bit. Whether you’re there in the cooler months enjoying hikes and crisp mornings or in the warmer season soaking up the sun by the pool, it really works any time of year.

Scottsdale has this perfect balance where you still feel connected to everything, but far enough away to truly unwind. Staying at Four Seasons Troon North feels like you’re tucked up in the desert mountains on your own, it’s quiet, peaceful, and a complete escape from the city. You’re surrounded by saguaro cacti, dramatic desert valleys, and views of Pinnacle Peak that honestly never get old.

Coffee with a view here hits different.
Located in scenic North Scottsdale, the resort feels secluded, but you’re still close to everything. It’s right near Troon North Golf Club, with two beautiful 18-hole courses winding through the desert. The resort offers a complimentary shuttle, which makes it so easy if golf is part of your trip.

This is one of those places I love recommending for so many different reasons. It’s perfect for a quick weekend getaway, really great for families, and it would be such a beautiful setting for a wedding with that desert backdrop. I can also help plan and book weddings here, which would be incredible in this setting.

The resort is made up of adobe-style casitas, which feel very private and spacious. You’ll find everything from standard casitas to suites, and even larger options if you’re traveling as a family or group. They also offer accessible rooms, which is always important to know depending on who you’re traveling with. What I love most is that every room feels connected to the desert. You step outside, and you’re surrounded by cacti and those wide-open views.

In the summer, the mornings were so cool we had the doors open to our room with the fireplace going.
There is so much to do right on property, whether you want to be active or completely unwind. For golf, you have access to Troon North just minutes away. The spa is also a highlight, with treatments that really lean into the desert setting. Sacred Sound Therapy is such a unique experience, and the jojoba and prickly pear body polish with the Vichy shower is one of those treatments you won’t forget. It literally feels like you’re floating while your skin is completely reset.
The pool scene is also really fun here. They do such a good job making it feel elevated but still relaxed, from spritz carts rolling by to cocktails at the pool bar. We had lunch poolside and it was one of those meals you remember, the Hawaiian tuna poke was so fresh, the Double Double Smash Burger was a favorite, and the Huli Huli chicken wings were so good. They also had a fun spritz experience at the pool bar, the Saguaro Blossom, which just added to the whole vibe of the afternoon.
They also have a full weekly schedule of activities, which I always love seeing at a resort like this. It ranges from guided hikes, pickleball, and fitness classes to fun things like mixology, tequila tastings, and even stargazing and astronomy nights. It gives you options if you want them, but never feels overwhelming.

Dining here is such a highlight. Proof is their main restaurant, and I still think about breakfast there. Sitting outside in the morning with the mountains in front of you and hummingbirds flying through the trees is one of those moments you really can’t fully explain. If breakfast is included, it is absolutely a perk you want to take advantage of. It’s some of the best I’ve had. The lemon ricotta pancakes and huevos rancheros are both so good and worth ordering.
Dinner at Kasai, their Japanese restaurant, is definitely worth doing one night. It’s a great change of pace and really well done.
At the end of the day, one of my favorite things is coming back, grabbing a small bite and a drink, and just watching the sun set behind Pinnacle Peak over the surrounding Sonoran Desert. Or pulling up a chair at the Onyx Stone bar for a cocktail and a few small plates, it’s such an easy, relaxed way to end the day.

They have coffee and little snacks out for the early birds before breakfast, and then somehow by evening it turns into cocktails and small plates, which feels like a very productive full-circle kind of day.
Even in the summer, I was surprised by how comfortable it felt. Coming from Naples, I expected it to be overwhelming, but the mornings and evenings are so cool and enjoyable. You can sit outside in the morning with a coffee, and at night there were times I even needed a shawl walking back to my room, even though it’s hot during the day.
If you want to explore beyond the resort, there is so much nearby. Old Town Scottsdale is always worth wandering. It’s full of shops, restaurants, and that fun Western charm. Walking around town is always a delight. There are shops, restaurants, and beautiful views everywhere you turn.
For shopping, Scottsdale Fashion Square and Kierland Commons are great for higher-end stores and easy dining. For something more active or family-friendly, horseback riding through the desert is such a fun experience and really gives you a different perspective.
Booking through me also comes with great perks here, which makes the stay even better, things like complimentary breakfast, potential room upgrades, and added amenities depending on availability.
This is perfect for couples, families, golfers, or anyone looking for a peaceful desert escape that still feels close to everything. It’s one of those places that works year-round and is always an easy recommendation.
