Curator’s statement
Aman has spent over 35 years perfecting the art of the sanctuary on land—remote, intimate, design-forward properties that feel like the best-kept secrets in travel. With Amangati, that same philosophy is finally coming to sea, and I believe it will set a new benchmark for what luxury yachting can be. At just 47 suites across nine decks, this is one of the most intimate large-vessel experiences ever conceived, and the level of detail—from the two-story spa serenity garden to the dual helipads—signals that Aman hasn’t compromised a thing in the translation. The yacht doesn’t sail until spring 2027, but voyages are being planned and reserved now, and, for the destinations Amangati will explore, early planning is everything.

What Amangati actually is
Amangati is the inaugural yacht from Aman at Sea, a new venture from the Aman Group—the brand behind some of the world’s most revered luxury properties. Designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and sailing starting in spring 2027, the ship spans nine decks and carries just 47 suites, each with a private terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and ceilings up to 8.2 feet. It is, by any measure, one of the most intimate luxury yachts ever built at this scale. The name itself—Amangati — means "peaceful motion" in Sanskrit, and that intention runs through every design decision on board.

What makes Amangati genuinely different from other ultra-luxury vessels is the depth of the Aman DNA. This isn’t a hotel brand licensing its name to a cruise line—it is Aman building its own ship from scratch, applying the same philosophy of stillness, restraint, and exceptional service that defines every property in the portfolio. For clients who know and love Aman on land, this is the next natural step. For those who haven’t experienced Aman before, it may well be the most compelling introduction available.

The suites
Every one of Amangati’s 47 suites includes a private terrace, full-height windows, generous bathrooms with soaking tubs, and a dedicated Suite Host available on demand. Suite categories range from the Deluxe Suite (from 700 square feet) through Signature and Grand Suites to the flagship Aman Suite—an extraordinary 3,811-square-foot enclave on Deck 5 with a private lift, in-suite massage room, and terrace with a private Jacuzzi. Premier Suites can connect to create two- or three-bedroom configurations, making them well suited for families or groups traveling together. In-suite breakfast is included daily upon request—one of the few genuinely complimentary touches on board.

Dining: The Aman approach at sea
Amangati’s dining philosophy mirrors Aman’s broader ethos: simplicity, balance, and ingredients at their peak. Eight bars and dining venues are spread across the ship, each with its own distinct character. Alira is the all-day Mediterranean restaurant, open-air and relaxed, with menus inspired by the coastlines Amangati explores—Greek islands, the Amalfi coast, the Provençal countryside. The food shifts with the itinerary, which is very much in the Aman spirit.
For Japanese cuisine, the ship offers two experiences that sit at very different ends of the spectrum. Akari is the signature omakase counter, rooted in the washoku tradition—ingredients chosen at their peak, presented with restraint, accompanied by a Sake Bar. Hiori takes a more theatrical approach with teppanyaki: wagyu flamed on the grill, sushi, and miso, each course unfolding with quiet ceremony at the table. Aman Grill rounds out the main restaurants with open-flame cooking—prime aged meats, whole fish, seasonal vegetables—served in an arc of intimate nooks with tableside rituals and sommelier-led wine pairings. The adjacent Bar at Aman Grill specializes in smoke-forward cocktails and barrel-aged whiskies, the right place for a nightcap.
Evenings extend naturally into The Jazz Club—inspired by Aman New York—where live music, craft cocktails, and unhurried conversation set the tone. It’s the detail that signals Aman understands how its guests actually want to spend their evenings: not rushing between venues, but settling into a space that has real atmosphere and staying as long as the night allows.

The spa: The most extensive wellness program in luxury yachting
Aman’s spa reputation on land is formidable, and Amangati is designed to carry that forward at sea. The Aman Spa is built across two stories and encompasses eight ocean-facing treatment suites—each with a private terrace and whirlpool bath, a two-story Japanese serenity garden, a banya, a hammam, and a Medi Spa with consultation rooms and advanced therapies. Treatments are guided by four pillars—nutrition, movement, psychological health, and bodywork—drawing on both traditional healing practices and contemporary science. For wellness-focused travelers, this is likely the single most compelling feature of the ship.
The open-air Yoga and Meditation Deck adds another dimension, with uninterrupted sea views and two shallow sea pools designed for restorative immersion between practice sessions. It is the kind of space that doesn’t exist on any other yacht at this level, and it’s clearly been conceived as a destination in its own right rather than an afterthought.

The marina and on-deck life
Selora Marina and Lounge serves as the yacht’s connection point to the sea—two platform wings that float at water level, steps from swimming, paddling, and water toys. The adjacent lounge offers drinks and light plates in a setting that blurs the line between yacht and ocean. High above the waterline, a 52-foot pool offers one of the most dramatic views available on board. Two helipads—a genuine rarity at this scale—allow for flexible arrivals, departures, and access to more remote shores that tender service alone can’t reach.

Who this is for
Amangati is designed for a specific kind of traveler: someone who has experienced Aman on land and is ready for the sea, or someone who wants a yacht voyage that feels nothing like a traditional cruise. The 47-suite limit means it will never feel crowded; the design ensures it never feels like anything other than an Aman property. It is the right choice for couples seeking genuine seclusion at sea, for wellness travelers who want a spa program that goes far beyond the standard offering, and for those who believe that how you travel matters as much as where you go. It is probably not the right fit for guests who want a fully all-inclusive dining experience or a large-ship social atmosphere.

Need to know
Sailing date
Amangati sets sail in spring 2027. Voyages are open for planning and reservation now—at 47 suites, availability will be genuinely limited, particularly for the inaugural season.
Suite inclusions
All suites include a private terrace, Suite Host service, daily in-suite breakfast upon request, unpacking and packing assistance, daily laundry and pressing, and high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi. These inclusions are meaningful—the in-suite breakfast alone removes a daily decision and cost.
Dining
Dining details including pricing and inclusions beyond in-suite breakfast have not yet been fully published. Based on Aman’s positioning and the Four Seasons Yachts model, guests should anticipate an à la carte structure for most meals. Confirm current details with your advisor before booking.
The Aman difference
Aman properties are known for an exceptionally low staff-to-guest ratio, and Amangati is expected to maintain this. The dedicated Suite Host model means most guests will have a consistent, personal point of contact throughout the voyage—a meaningful distinction from larger ships.
Private charter
Amangati is available for full private charter—ideal for milestone celebrations, family gatherings, or corporate events. Dedicated event hosts manage all details from planning through delivery. Inquire early; charter bookings at this level are arranged well in advance.
Pre- & post-voyage stays
Aman properties along likely Mediterranean itineraries include Amanzoe in Greece, Amanruya in Turkey, and Aman Venice in Italy—all natural bookends to a voyage. As a Fora Advisor, I can book these with Preferred Partner perks applied, creating a seamless Aman experience from arrival to departure.
