Guide to Windjammer Landing in St. Lucia
Curator’s statement

Windjammer Landing quickly became one of my favorite resorts after my four-day visit. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious, the views were beautiful and the villa was absolutely incredible. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend it to all my friends and family!

Windjammer Landing is about a fifteen-minute drive from the capital city of Castries and is located on Labrelotte Bay. The resort’s private white sand beach is surrounded by crystal clear Caribbean water; landscaped greenery and flower-lined paths throughout. The Mediterranean-style, terracotta tile-roofed suites and villas are tucked into the hillside above the beach. But for a more Mediterranean meets contemporary feel, Windjammer Landing has brand new waterfront villas located right on Labrelotte Bay with terracotta tile roofs, a white stucco exterior and seamless glass railings. All of the villas have a sun deck with an ocean view and a fully-equipped kitchen. Many also include private plunge pools!

I stayed in the Luxury Two-Bedroom Beachfront Villa and it was nothing short of amazing. I truly felt like I was dreaming! It’s located just steps from the beach and close to all of the restaurants (except Papa Don’s which is up on the hill).

The first bedroom had a king bed, the second bedroom had two queen-sized beds and both bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom and a balcony. The villa also had a fully-equipped kitchen, enclosed living and dining areas, a balcony off the dining room and a private pool on the upstairs deck. The private pool and upstairs deck was definitely my favorite part! The ocean views were absolutely incredible.

Windjammer Landing offers an all-inclusive package, where you can enjoy unlimited (and delicious) a-la-carte selections at their five restaurants and top-shelf premium liquor at their four resort bars. The resort restaurants range from casual to fine dining and use the finest, freshest ingredients accompanied by a vast selection of tropical cocktails and quality wines.

The restaurants include:

Upper Deck

Upper Deck is an upscale seafood and steak restaurant only open for dinner, located along the beach, offering beautiful sunset views. I had the filet mignon ‘surf and turf’ which was prime filet steak, three garlic shrimp, herb mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was so delicious! And for dessert, I had the flourless chocolate cake!

Jammer’s

Jammers is a casual lunch and dinner option with a range of salads, sandwiches, small bites and more. I had the ‘Surf and Turf’ burger, which is their classic burger topped with three grilled shrimp and tomato and pineapple salsa (on a gluten -free bun, of course). Oh my, it was so delicious! And for dessert, I had the flourless chocolate cake, which was just incredible.

Papa Don’s

Papa Don’s is an upscale Italian restaurant up on the hillside offering views of Labrelotte Bay. It is only open for dinner. I had the caprese salad to start and gluten-free pasta with the traditional bolognese sauce as my entree. Yum!

Dragonfly

Dragonfly overlooks the beach and pool area and serves breakfast and dinner. On Tuesdays, they host a Caribbean buffet night. For breakfast, you have the option of ordering from the a-la-carte menu or enjoying the buffet.

Embers

Embers is a casual beachside lunch option and has small bites, sliders, flatbreads, tacos and more! I had the gluten-free pepperoni flatbread!

If you’re looking to retreat, relax and restore, then The Spa at Windjammer Landing is calling your name! This vibrant sanctuary offers massages (including in-villa massages), facials, body treatments, body wraps, waxing, hair treatments, manicures, pedicures and more! They also offer ‘The Petite Spa Experience’ which are treatments specifically designed for 8-18-year-olds!

The Spa also includes a private Japanese soaker tub and outdoor shower, a juice bar, herb garden, male and female steam rooms and a relaxation lounge.

I had the Signature Massage, in which they use hot stones and bamboo with a unique blend of massage oils! After the most incredible massage, I was led to the relaxation room where I was given their signature beverage, coconut water (out of a coconut) and some treats! It was definitely a ‘spa-tacular’ time!

There are also wellness classes you can partake in, including paddle board yoga, candlelight restorative yoga, full moon yoga, aqua parkour, tai chi and mindfulness and meditation.

Windjammer Landing has many activities, including windsurfing, water skiing and snorkeling. Non-motorized water sports are complimentary to all of the guests, including windsurfing, pedal boating, paddle boarding, tube rides, snorkeling, kayaking and Hobie Cat sailing. They also offer kneeboarding, waterskiing and wakeboarding however they are a small fee unless you have the All-Inclusive plan!

Need to Know

Saint Lucia is the ideal destination for those who want to relax on the beach, take in the local culture or explore the natural sights. With its steamy volcano, rainforest, mineral baths, marketplaces, banana plantations and nature reserves, there is plenty to do. If you’re looking for the ultimate vacation and can picture yourself lounging in your beachfront or hillside villa, sunbathing on a pristine white sand beach, enjoying tons of water activities or taking in all the natural sights, then Windjammer Landing is the ideal place for you. I recommend Windjammer Landing for families, a couple's getaway or a multi-couple trip — it has something for everyone!
