Immerse yourself in a haven of sustainability, where off-grid living and a deep respect for nature go hand in hand. Discover the essence of true living as you unwind in an eco-friendly lodge, savor fresh locally sourced cuisine, and participate in exhilarating adventures amidst the rainforest's embrace. You can participate in hands-on activities, from organic farming to reforestation projects. It's not just a place to stay but an incredible experience with lots of activities on and offsite.

Farm Tour

Come see regeneration in action. I got to experience truly regenerative off grid living. At Rancho Margot, you’ll dive into discovery, exploring all aspects of our sustainable and self-sufficient practices, from organic agriculture and food processing to energy production and carbon neutrality. Witness a more conscious way to live in the making.

Forest Trail

Hike through a portion of the forest and upper plantation area. Humbly, the trail starts behind the laundry building and ends by the pigsty, but the sights and sounds along the path are nothing short of extraordinary.

Kayak In Flat Water

A short flat water kayak tour is a wonderful way to connect with nature, unwind, and enjoy the serenity of calm waterways.

El Mirador Hike

Breathtaking scenery awaits on this self-guided hike to the Mirador lookout point. At the peak, you’ll absorb panoramic views of the extraordinary Arenal, Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes. For a more interactive and educational hike, request a professional guide at the front desk.

Guided Yoga Classes

Yoga outdoors and breathing in the purity of rainforest air. Senses awaken, inspired by the rush of the river, the valley breeze and the playful birdsong. The yoga palapa is a welcoming space, tune into the sights and sounds of nature, and find your place in it.

Night Hike Tour

On this guided tour, you’ll hike along rainforest paths after dusk, learn to identify mini-landscapes burgeoning with life, and spy some of the rainforest’s nocturnal creatures.

Massage Treatments

Take a break from excursions and exploration with this deepest form of relaxation. You can schedule a professional massage at our therapeutic bodywork center, surrounded by lush gardens and the fresh scent of rainforest flowers.

Microorganisms Workshop

Learn from an expert and participate in the production of mountain microorganisms. Found in the rainforest soil, these microorganisms are beneficial in many ways, such as being used in the preparation of organic fertilizers as well as here at the ranch as a farm fly repellent.

Cheese Making Workshop

You know cheese comes from a cow, but how? Satisfy this life-long curiosity by learning about and participating in this age-old process of creating farm-fresh cheese.

Soap Making Workshop

Participants in this workshop get to create their own unique, locally inspired soaps while learning about traditional soap-making techniques and ingredients specific to the region. It's a hands-on and engaging activity that allows tourists to connect with local artisans and take home a personalized, culturally enriched souvenir.
