Grand Cayman Site Visit: Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa

I visited the Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa in January 2026 and was very impressed with this beautiful luxury beachfront property. As the first built five-star resort developed by Kimpton Hotels, the resort truly delivers an elevated level of service, design, and amenities.

The resort features 264 guest rooms and suites, many with stunning ocean views overlooking Seven Mile Beach, one of the Caribbean’s most celebrated beaches. The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, and a major advantage for families is that approximately 80% of the rooms offer connecting options, making it easy to accommodate larger groups.

This property is particularly family-friendly while still maintaining a sophisticated luxury feel. Guests can enjoy a range of complimentary non-motorized water sports, perfect for families and couples looking to take advantage of the beachfront location.

Another added benefit of staying here is the close proximity to its sister property, Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman. Guests staying at Kimpton Seafire can easily visit and utilize the amenities and restaurants at the sister property, which provides additional restaurant options and experiences just a short distance away.

The resort offers several dining options. For guests who enjoy a more adventurous culinary experience, Avecita is a standout. This intimate chef’s counter restaurant offers a tasting menu, creating a unique and memorable dining experience. The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding.

Another standout is Library by the Sea, an award-winning bar and café inspired by literature and poetry. The space is designed to resemble an elegant seaside library, creating a cozy and sophisticated atmosphere. One of the most unique aspects of this venue is its story-driven cocktail program—each cocktail on the menu is inspired by literature or poetic themes, and every drink has its own story behind it.

The Seafire Spa is another beautiful feature of the resort. The spa includes seven treatment rooms and a co-ed relaxation pool, creating a serene environment for guests. In addition to traditional spa treatments, guests can also enjoy manicure and pedicure services, which is convenient for travelers who may not have had time before arrival. A unique and fun element of the spa is the custom scrub station, where guests can create their own personalized body scrubs.

For families traveling with children, the resort offers thoughtful programming. Kids can enjoy a daily kids’ happy hour from 5 to 6 p.m., which includes crafts and other activities. There is also a splash pad and plenty of family-friendly space around the resort.
