From the moment we arrived at Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Collection, we were treated with impeccable care, and that level of attention continued until the very moment we departed. Little touches throughout our stay—thoughtful amenities in the room, warm greetings from staff, and personalized recommendations—made the experience feel truly extraordinary. The service here is unparalleled, creating an effortless sense of comfort and luxury that immediately sets the tone for the entire visit.

The history of the property adds another layer of charm. Once a prestigious school, the building has been thoughtfully restored to retain its character while offering modern luxury. Their cocktail bar, now housed in the old principal’s office, took years of careful renovation to honor its original character while creating a unique, intimate space to unwind. Staying here feels like being part of that story, surrounded by architecture and spaces that reflect its rich past. Each corner of the hotel whispers a sense of timeless elegance, making it more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience steeped in culture and history.

The culinary offerings were equally unforgettable. Breakfast is still on my mind—I would happily have it every morning, from the fresh pastries to the carefully prepared coffee. The poolside restaurant serves what I would argue is the best pizza in Italy, crafted by a chef from Naples who brought a true taste of his hometown. For a more formal evening, we visited the main restaurant for dessert, and the tiramisu was nothing short of divine. Conveniently, a shuttle to downtown Florence makes exploring the city easy, giving the perfect balance of tranquil countryside retreat and access to Florence’s vibrant culture.

Need to know

Plan a mix of relaxation and exploration. The countryside setting is perfect for unwinding, but a day trip into Florence allows you to experience the best of both worlds.
