Designed by the award-winning Shim-Sutcliffe Architects in collaboration with Atelier Ace, the Ace Hotel Toronto is a celebration of both modern architecture and the soul of the city it calls home. The concrete-and-wood aesthetic, high ceilings and soft lighting create an ambiance that’s both cool and inviting.

Every corner of the hotel feels considered, from the sculptural central staircase to the vintage furnishings and curated local artwork throughout the property (including in each room which has a unique piece!).

King Room

The 123 rooms — including six generous suites — strike a balance between minimalism and warmth. Thoughtful amenities like acoustic guitars, record players and curated minibars add a personalized, artistic touch that aligns beautifully with the Ace brand’s ethos. One of my favorite details is how the guest rooms subtly reflect nearby St. Andrew’s Playground Park — earthy tones, natural textures and gentle curves create a calm, grounded retreat amid the bustle of downtown Toronto.

One Bed Suite Living Room

For events and meetings, the Ace Hotel Toronto offers flexible, beautifully designed spaces that can be tailored to everything from intimate brainstorm sessions to weddings or receptions for up to 100 guests. All event spaces are equipped with AV technology and offer that signature Ace aesthetic, ensuring your gathering feels elevated and unique.

Culinary offerings are another major highlight. Alder, the hotel’s signature restaurant located just beneath the lobby, is a must-visit. The Mediterranean-inspired menu features wood-fired dishes that are both bold and refined — perfect for a special dinner or casual evening with friends. Upstairs, Evangeline, the rooftop bar, serves up expertly crafted cocktails alongside sweeping views of the city skyline. For a more laid-back vibe, the Lobby Bar is a great spot to relax with a coffee or glass of wine while soaking in the buzz of the city outside.

Whether you're a culture-seeker, design lover, or simply looking for a chic yet comfortable base in downtown Toronto, the Ace Hotel is a top-tier choice. I’d especially recommend it for younger couples, corporate travelers and small groups planning a stylish city getaway. With its thoughtful design, prime location and deep connection to the city’s culture, Ace Hotel Toronto isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to experience Toronto at its best.
