Sunbathing Bliss and So Much More: Lover’s Beach in Los Cabos
Curator’s statement

Located on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, lies a famous beach accessible only by boat. A majestic rock formation creates an alcove for sunbathers. The Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean meet on the sun-kissed sands of Lover’s Beach in Los Cabos, creating your own little sparkling piece of paradise.

I can think of no better place to soak up the sun and watch the azure ocean waters, but want a little more out of your stop at Lover’s Beach? This idyllic beach packs a punch for activities in, around or even above the water.

Say you have made it to the famous resort town of Cabo San Lucas, and you are ready to engage in some quintessential Baja California activities. Want to strike a pose in front of a postcard backdrop? Want to spend a relaxing afternoon watching the sunshine reflecting off the waters of Sea of Cortez? Or want to snorkel in clear waters and watch stunning marine life? Lover’s Beach Los Cabos should be your first stop. Either that or the hotel bar, but I would not recommend drinking then snorkeling. Quiet and swimmable beaches aren’t easy to come by in this resort town, so the boat ride there will be well worth it.

It’s true, Lover’s Beach is only accessible by water, but the ride is part of the journey, and whatever you fancy, it will provide its own unique experience. Regardless of which vessel you board, you will undoubtedly glide along some of the most stunning ocean landscapes you will ever see. And if you’re lucky, your ride might also pass by the famed Arch at Land’s End. No trip to Cabo is complete without a stop by the Arch. Whether by water taxi, sunset cruise, glass-bottom boat, luxury yacht cruise or customized boat tour, your ride will come in all shapes and sizes. Other activities around Lover’s Beach include whale watching (seasonal), diving, themed party cruises and if you’re up for it, hang gliding. Whether you decide to watch it from afar in your boat or let your toes touch the soft sand of this secluded spot, your Los Cabos itinerary must include a trip to Lover’s Beach at least once, or twice or everyday until you leave.

Need to know

Honeymooners, families, adventure seekers or solo travelers looking for respite…

If you want to find your way to a small slice of heaven on the Baja peninsula, Lover's Beach, Los Cabos is a must-see destination. Just a hop and a skip away from the animated party scene of Cabo, I highly recommend a trip to this stunning beach.
