Stay at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences in Whistler
Curator’s statement

I stayed at the Four Seasons Resort in Whistler with my husband and two kiddos in August of 2023. The moment we walked in, we were blown away with the service and attentiveness provided by the staff. They treated us like VIP guests and went out of their way to welcome our kids and make them feel special. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and is the perfect setting for your getaway close to nature and all of the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Back at the hotel, you can basque in the beautiful surroundings by utilizing their pool and hot tubs or relax and zen out at their full-service spa. I cannot wait to stay there again and will continue to recommend this hotel to my clients.

Location

Whistler is a ski village, located north of Vancouver, British Columbia. It's known for its outdoor recreational activities, especially winter sports. Many remember it for hosting the winter olympics in 2010. It's a 4.5 hour drive from the Seattle Airport and a 2.5 hour drive from the Vancouver, BC airport. I recommend renting a car, booking a private driver or utilizing the shuttle that goes from the Vancouver, BC airport to Whistler. The drive is breathtaking and worth doing in and of itself.

Arrival

Upon our arrival, we were greeted with top-tier service. While I checked in, we were all given lemonade and the kids were each gifted their own stuffed animal. Whenever a hotel goes out of their way to make my kids feel special, it instantly raises our perspective by several notches. They upgraded us from the most basic room to an executive suite. It was stunning. There were fancy cookies, candy and a special note from the hotel waiting for us when we walked through the door (as well as robes and slippers for all of us - this was such a special touch). We also received a $100 hotel credit that we were able to use at the restaurants or spa on site.

Room Options

Each guest room has elevated woodland decor and contains a gas fireplace, sitting area and views overlooking the mountains, courtyard and forest.

The suites are perfect for those looking for more room or a longer stay. They also contain a gas fireplace and generously spaced living room, bedroom and bathroom.

The luxurious private residences offer the most space and even contain a kitchen. These residences are available in a one, two or three-bedroom layout.

Amenities

  • Free breakfast for two each morning. The breakfast buffet was one of the best breakfast spreads I've ever had at a hotel. I would have happily paid for it

  • Two restaurants, a cafe, and a gorgeous outdoor patio space

  • Seasonal treats offered on the house in a cute little trailer on the patio. There is hot cocoa with marshmallow snowmen in the winter and slushies in the summer

  • A large pool that is heated year-round, along with two hot tubs and a sauna

  • Free bike rental (subject to availability)

  • Full-service spa

  • Daily free wine tasting

  • Fitness classes

  • Ski lessons

  • Shuttle to town and ski lift

  • Seasonal playroom for kids
