Curator’s statement
Wymara Resort is for the client who wants elevated calm, not constant stimulation or chatty kids. It delivers an Asian-like boutique, design-forward experience on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean—without the crowds or chaos. I’d position this for couples, girlfriends’ getaways, or families who have kids that are seen and not heard because Wymara is about intention, space, and quiet luxury, all of the time.

First impressions
Walking into Wymara doesn’t feel like a typical resort arrival—it feels like a reset and exactly where you need to be at the moment.
Wymara nails it on their entrance and “wow” factor.
The minute you step into their open-air lobby, you are not focused on the check-in process. Your eyes are immediately drawn to that stunning pool, lined with daybeds and accompanied by relaxing but peppy instrumental music. It doesn’t hurt that beyond the pool’s view is the unmistakable turquoise waters of Grace Bay Beach. You instantly feel calm, relaxed, and excited.

The patio looks out to Grace Bay, which is stunning!
Atmosphere
Wymara has a different, and purposeful energy. It’s not trying to entertain you every second. It’s not loud. It’s not crowded. It’s intentional.
It actually reminded me of a boutique hotel you’d stumble upon in Asia—thoughtfully designed, understated, and elevated—but set on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
Days here are simple in the best way. You move between your lounger and the beach without urgency. Maybe you stop at the Pink Bar for a cocktail, maybe you don’t. There’s no pressure to do anything… and there is beauty in that. What you do is up to you.
Evenings follow the same rhythm. Dinner at Indigo, then either call it a night or take a quick taxi into town if you want a little more energy. But honestly? You may not feel the need to leave.
What stood out most is how peaceful it is. If there are kids around, they blend into the background. This isn’t a place built around them—it’s a place built for adults who want to exhale, have intimate conversations, or say nothing at all. It’s a place to escape and somewhere that feels familiar to those who visit it repeatedly.
Accommodations
The accommodations have that same feeling. The resort villas are light, airy, and spacious. The master bedroom has a soaking tub in it and the master bathroom has a large vanity sink and a stackable washer and dryer in the water closet. The sofa bed in the living room has a king-sized bed, perfect for families.

The kitchen is large and beautifully appointed—it’s definitely the heart of the villa. You can hire a chef and/or have groceries delivered to your unit. The closets are ample—they make you want to unpack and stay a while!

The kitchen counter is large and is perfect for chef-made meals. You can also get groceries delivered to your villa.

Things to note
This resort is small. Some may get bored there quickly for lack of things to do.
The resort isn’t walkable to town, so you’ll rely on taxis.
Like most of Turks and Caicos, it’s expensive—especially without the all-inclusive model. But that’s part of the tradeoff for the experience.
There is one five-star restaurant on site and another restaurant on the beach. There is also a fun Pink Bar on the beach.
Wymara Resort also has a small gym and a renowned spa on site, as well as a gift shop.
Bottom line
Wymara is for the traveler who wants to slow down, unplug, and enjoy a more refined version of the Caribbean while you take some time to escape.

Need to know
If you want to “ball out” and experience a true private villa experience, stay at Wymara Villas. It is about 15 minutes away. I was not able to do a site visit of their accommodations, but they sit on a cliff and have private pools. You walk down steps to get to the pool and beach, and some units have a waterslide!
You can also get a day pass to Wymara Resort to use their pool and beach, which I’d recommend because Wymara Villas only has a lap pool which is just so-so. The villas also are in a more remote part of the island, so you will definitely need a car or have to get an Uber to go out.
