Four Seasons East Palo Alto

This upscale retreat, easily accessible from the 101, provides a perfect blend of romance and relaxation. Indulge in a massage then enjoy a meal at Quattro in the light and airy atrium or garden terrace. This property features chic rooms, a full-service spa and outdoor spaces to unwind.

Rosewood Sand Hill

This hotspot features sophisticated decor and stunning views of the Santa Cruz mountains, setting the stage for a fun and relaxing staycation. Relax by the pool, then enjoy classic afternoon tea at the library - and perhaps indulge in a glass or two of champagne to celebrate the occasion! Or sip handcrafted cocktails at the stylish lounge and unwind in the beautiful outdoor spaces, then have dinner onsite at Madera.

The Clement Hotel

This is a good option for couples seeking an all-inclusive luxury boutique experience. A member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, The Clement offers stylish one-bedroom suites and a rooftop pool with cabanas. Food, drinks, gratuities and valet parking are all included. Enjoy the art collection onsite and grab snacks on-the-go from The Kitchen before taking a stroll to the nearby shops on University Avenue. My favorite is Galerie on Hamilton for lovely, curated home goods. Return to your refuge, order room service and relax in your suite.

Canyon Ranch, Woodside

This resort is a haven for reconnecting in a rustic yet luxurious setting. This secluded retreat provides modern luxury in cozy cabins surrounded by nature. Couples can be active and explore scenic trails and outdoor activities together. They can also choose to relax and pamper themselves with spa and wellness treatments then enjoy a gourmet dinner and unwind by romantic bonfires under the night sky.

Nobu Hotel

The focal point here is Nobu restaurant but there are also other great restaurants nearby. The accommodations are on brand with a sleek, modern and sophisticated Japanese minimalist style in soothing tones. The new, exclusive Ryokan level offers additional amenities including secured elevator key access, personal service, priority seating in Nobu, and private balcony with outdoor seating.
