Curator’s statement
Sedona is one of those places where you instantly slow down the second you arrive, it just has that effect on you. Staying tucked into the canyon at Enchantment makes it even better. It’s quiet, grounding, and completely surrounded by those unreal red rocks. Honestly, I feel like I’m in Disney Cars Land half the time. I love that you can have your coffee on the deck and then just wander out into nature without even trying. It’s equal parts peaceful and invigorating, and it really sticks with you.

Sedona is one of those places where you instantly slow down the second you arrive, it just has that effect on you. Staying at Enchantment Resort makes it even more special because you’re not just near the red rocks. You are completely tucked into them.

Slide Rock is such a fun spot with a natural rock slide through the creek, but this time it was just a little too cold to actually get in.
I’ve been here a few times, and what always amazes me is how close it is to town, yet how remote and private it feels. You’re only about 15 minutes from Sedona, but once you pass through the guard gate, it feels like a total escape. The resort is truly on its own, there are no busy roads, no noise, nothing around you except the canyon. It’s complete peace and quiet, surrounded by towering red rocks in every direction, and honestly I kept saying it felt like I was in Disney Car Land half the time, in the best way.

The resort is made up of Southwestern-style casitas, and this is where your room choice really matters. There are standard casitas, junior suites, one-bedroom suites, and larger two and three-bedroom options that are great for families or groups. You can even rent full private residences if you want more space. If you can, I always recommend booking a casita with a full red rock view, it completely changes the experience. Morning coffee on your patio looking straight into the canyon is one of those moments you won’t forget.
The Mii amo spa was renovated in 2023 and is a destination in itself. It leans into that Sedona energy with meditation spaces, wellness treatments, and a calm that you feel immediately. You could easily spend an entire day here. The pool, set against the red rocks, is just as peaceful and never gets old.
One of the things I love about this property is how much there is to do without ever leaving. Beyond the daily wellness and creative classes, there are some really fun, unexpected activities like archery, atlatl, and even axe throwing, all set against the backdrop of Boynton Canyon. You can go rock climbing, stargazing at night, or just join in on guided hikes right from the resort.
For families, this is such a great option. Camp Coyote offers supervised activities for kids ages 4–12, with everything from nature walks and scavenger hunts to painting, bocce, and pickleball. It makes it easy for everyone to have their own experience while still feeling like a shared trip. There are also family-friendly options like mountain biking and outdoor adventures that make it just as fun for kids as it is for adults.

If you’re a golfer, guests also have access to Seven Canyons, a private 18-hole Tom Weiskopf-designed championship course, and the setting alone is worth it.

It’s also a very active crowd here, people who want to hike, explore, and take advantage of everything Sedona offers. If you’re traveling solo, it would be easy to meet others and join in on group hikes or activities.

Dining on property is easy and really well done. Che Ah Chi is more elevated with beautiful views. Tii Gavo is relaxed and perfect after a day outside, and Hummingbird at the spa is lighter and wellness-focused. You really don’t have to leave, but if you do, there are so many great spots nearby.

Slide Rock is amazing on a hot day, but the second you hit the water you realize it is absolutely freezing.
Even though it’s tempting to stay tucked into the canyon, there’s a lot to explore. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a quick stop with incredible views, and Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock are two of the most iconic hikes in the area. Slide Rock State Park is such a fun one. It’s a natural water slide built into the red rocks where you can slide through the creek, especially in warmer months. And Tlaquepaque is perfect for a little shopping and wandering.
Walking around town is always a delight. There are shops, restaurants, and beautiful views everywhere you turn. It’s one of those places that’s just easy and fun to explore without a plan.
I would plan at least three nights here, but four if you want to really settle in and enjoy both the resort and everything around Sedona. Spring and fall are my favorite times to visit, and you’ll definitely want a car so you can explore a bit.
Booking through me also comes with some really great perks at Enchantment for 2026, which make the stay even better. You’ll receive an upgrade on arrival if available, a daily breakfast credit of $45 per person for up to two guests, a $100 experience credit to use at the Trail House, Artist Cottage, or Mii amo Spa, plus early check-in and late check-out when available.
What makes this place so special is how it blends luxury with nature so effortlessly. You can have a spa morning, a pool afternoon, and then be hiking through the canyon by sunset without ever feeling rushed. It’s peaceful, a little magical, and one of those places that really stays with you.

Need to know
Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, a reusable water bottle, and shoes you don’t mind getting a little red dirt on. Consider including a small fan for the heat, and something light for the evenings since it can cool off quickly.
