Curator’s statement
My family and I stayed at this resort during our Italian getaway and were absolutely blown away by the resort's beauty, hospitality and attention to detail. The staff at Castelfalfi felt like a family and offered everything you would need for a perfect Italian vacation.

The resort is located about an hour and a half outside of Florence and three and a half hours away from Rome. It is best to arrange transportation with your travel advisor, unless you plan to drive a car and explore other parts of Tuscany.
The resort features a world-class spa with an exclusive facial by Maria Galland. I had the best deep tissue massage of my life, and my mother-in-law said the same thing. The infinity pool looks out over the beautiful Tuscan landscape, has indoor beds to relax in all day, a steam room, sauna, cold plunge and tanning chairs for use during your entire stay.
If you choose to leave the spa, the resort offers an abundance of activities including fitness classes, cooking classes, archery, lake fishing and fly fishing, honey and bee experience, truffle hunting, E-Bike tours and even a climbing wall at the adventure park created for kids. We participated in a wine tasting and olive oil tasting during our stay, which were both delicious and very informative. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer to experience more of what the resort had to offer.
There are a total of 27 holes on the golf course located on the resort. My husband, father-in-law and son played 18 holes and found the course challenging but absolutely stunning.
Il Rosmarino was our favorite restaurant on site. The breakfast buffet at Olivina was phenomenal. One of the things that stood out to me about this resort during our stay, was their attention to detail and preparedness for our reservations. We traveled with our 18-month-old son and for every reservation we had, there was a high chair and cutlery waiting for him as well. Not to mention THE CUTEST baby robe in our room for our little guy’s luxurious stay.
The resort was renovated under new management in 2022 and the updates are absolutely incredible. There is even a very small "town" with shops and a castle a short walk from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Italy.
Need to know
I recommend Castelfalfi to my clients who want to experience a true Tuscan escape during their Italian vacation. It has enough activities to keep you entertained if you travel with someone who doesn’t want to just relax, while offering an amazing view of the Tuscan landscape if you choose to just relax. It would be a stunning venue for a small Italian destination wedding as well. Castelfalfi is a great place for a celebration of any kind, from your honeymoon to wedding anniversaries to babymoons. Reach out and let me plan your relaxing Italian vacation.
