Curator’s statement
In March, I stayed at Majestic Inn & Spa twice when I was in Anacortes, Washington, for whale-watching trips from Anacortes and Friday Harbor. The friendly staff, delicious bistro and on-site spa make it a stay I would highly recommend to my clients visiting the area.

Nestled in the charming town of Anacortes, Washington, the Majestic Inn & Spa offers a lovely blend of historical elegance and modern comforts. The charming property features 65 guest rooms housed in a historic and contemporary building, added with their expansion in 2013. The new building features the town's only rooftop deck.
Arriving after my 12-hour journey from Chicago, I indulged in the Cloud 9 foot treatment at the spa. 30 minutes of pure bliss, so relaxing that I almost fell asleep! Highlights of the room include a rainfall shower, luxurious spa robe and an in-room French press. Pick up freshly-ground beans sourced locally, from the reception desk. The 5th Street Bistro restaurant is welcoming, affordable and has one of the best breakfasts in town. My favorite was the daily quiche special, with chorizo, red pepper and jack cheese.
I liked my first stay so much, I booked the second right away. I have several more trips to the area planned, so I will definitely be back.
Need to know
If you need to stay in the Anacortes area, the Majestic Inn and Spa is one of the best options. Located near three major docks, it's the ideal base location for whale-watching. I'd recommend it for any clients booking a weekend getaway, business travel, couples retreat or family trip. Bonus: It's dog-friendly! There are also event facilities, making it a good choice for weddings and groups.
