Our sailing aboard the Disney Fantasy was the perfect continuation of a Walt Disney World visit, creating what Disney fans call the ultimate “land and sea” vacation. The ship itself is stunning, with classic ocean-liner design paired with modern luxury. One of the first spaces guests experience is the breathtaking atrium lobby, which sets the tone for the entire cruise—elegant, welcoming, and unmistakably Disney.

One of the things that makes Disney Cruise Line stand out is its unique rotational dining concept. Each evening, guests rotate through three themed restaurants while their serving team follows them throughout the cruise, creating a very personalized experience. On the Disney Fantasy, this includes the beautifully themed Animator’s Palate, where Disney animation magically comes to life during dinner, the elegant Royal Court inspired by Disney princess films, and the immersive Enchanted Garden, where the restaurant transforms from day to night as you dine. The food and service across all restaurants was excellent and truly one of the highlights of the sailing.

Entertainment is another area where Disney Cruise Line shines. The Broadway-style productions at the Walt Disney Theatre are phenomenal and rival shows you’d see on land. Character experiences are everywhere on the ship, from meet-and-greets to themed deck parties, and families love the famous Pirate Night celebration, complete with fireworks at sea—something only Disney Cruise Line offers.

For daytime fun, the Disney Fantasy offers activities for every age. Families love the AquaDuck water coaster that winds around the top deck, while kids and teens have dedicated clubs filled with interactive experiences. Adults aren’t forgotten either—there are beautiful adults-only spaces, quiet pools, lounges, and specialty dining options that make it easy to find relaxation while the kids enjoy their own adventures.
Whether you’re traveling with young children, multi-generational family members, or even as a couple, Disney Cruise Line does an incredible job creating experiences that appeal to everyone. It’s one of the few vacations where parents can truly relax knowing their kids are having just as much fun as they are.

Need to know
Many itineraries include a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, which is consistently a highlight for guests.
Dining, Broadway-style entertainment, kids clubs, and many activities are included in the cruise fare, which makes Disney cruises feel very seamless once onboard.
Booking early is recommended—Disney Cruise Line tends to sell out well in advance, especially for popular sailings and family-friendly stateroom categories.
Families love the convenience of the kids clubs, while adults appreciate quiet areas like the adults-only pool deck and lounges.
If you’re visiting Walt Disney World before your cruise, I often recommend 2–3 nights in Orlando before sailing so you can enjoy the parks without feeling rushed.
