The Bisha Hotel Toronto, located in the heart of the city’s entertainment district, brings a new level of hip sophistication. One entire floor of this chic hotel is designed by none other than Lenny Kravitz. The Kravitz-designed rooms are incredibly popular, but fortunately, the rest of the hotel offers an equally impressive experience.
The lobby sets the tone with crushed velvet, etched gold, black marble and a striking pink Jeff Koons sculpture. This edgy glamor is felt throughout the hotel, never compromising on service or comfort. Custom-designed Art Deco armoires and plush velvet couches invite you to relax. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and our room service order arrived in just 15 minutes with perfectly poached eggs — always a tricky feat!
On the 44th floor, you’ll find the pool, Baja-inspired Kost restaurant and some of the best views in the city. This floor is truly outstanding. Adding a pitcher of Manny’s Margaritas makes for the perfect afternoon, regardless of the season.
For a more sophisticated vibe, the Mr. C Lobby Bar features framed Damien Hirst collection Alexander McQueen scarves and offers $1 oysters, half-priced Champagne and live music every Tuesday. Michelin-starred chef Akira Back’s upscale restaurant is a must-visit. Take the gold stairs, not the elevator, to enjoy his signature Japanese-Korean fusion menu. The food was stellar, the crowd was lively and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable.
Bisha is the ideal place to wear that ultra-trendy outfit you’ve been saving for, though jeans and a t-shirt are just as welcome. The concierge was extremely helpful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Sweet Suite: The Ultimate Stay
Lenny Kravitz’s two-story, 2000-square-foot Bisha Suite is the epitome of luxury and style. It’s perfect for anyone who has ever dreamt of living like a true star. The suite features a magazine-worthy bathroom, an in-suite bar with vintage glassware, ample lounging cushions and an outdoor terrace ideal for sipping a dream cocktail.
Favorite Thing: The Art
Art lovers will be in heaven at Bisha. Warhol prints line every hallway. Giant Interview Magazine covers decorate the rooms and there are over 3000 pieces of original art throughout the hotel. Notable pieces include works by Koons, Jun Kaneko’s heads near the entrance and Jeff Goodman’s glass installation on the lobby ceiling.
