Things to do in Skopelos, Greece

You can kayak through some tight cave areas - just be sure you can navigate!

Panormos Beach - This is a beautiful beach with very calm waters. There are nice restaurants and bars that will make it easy to stay all day long.

Take a kayak tour - This is a great chance to explore caves and other wonderful sites. Plus it leaves some great photo opportunities. This is a must-do if you are in Skopelos!

Visit the chapel of St John (Ioannis) - This is the wedding church from Mamma Mia. You’ll likely need to rent a car to get there. Another great option is to book a tour centered around Mamma Mia to take you to several destinations from the movie. Be prepared for a bit of a hike up to the church.

Take a boat tour - There are various options from half-day to full-day options. The weather is incredible from May-October and having a day at sea will refresh your soul. These options often come with drinks and food, and offer a chance at interacting with other tourists.

Find a hiking trail - Skopelos isn’t just for beach lovers. The nature is sublime and there are plenty of great trails to explore!

Places to eat & drink in Skopelos, Greece

A delicious break at Linarkia Restautant

First Creperie and Pizzerie - This restaurant is located in Skopelos Town and has everything from crepes to burgers and pasta. It is also open late to accommodate for the nightlife surrounding it.

Kraken Seaside Drink & Dine in Panormos - This spot offers a wide range of cocktails, coffee, salads, pasta and seafood. You can enjoy your meal on Panormos Beach (my favorite in Skopelos). They even occasionally have live music and DJs.

Linarkia Restaurant - My favorite restaurant in Skopelos! It was the best seafood spot I had tried there, but also had a really nice breakfast menu and unique coffee options. I could have had every meal here and never gotten tired of it.

Korali Seafood Restaurant - Located on Agnontas beach. This is a beautiful setting and the food only adds to it. It is fish and seafood-heavy, but has some fun sides to add variety into your cuisine while in Skopelos.

Case Doughia - This restaurant was recommended to us by some locals. It did not disappoint. The chicken kabab is an excellent choice here and the wine is so cheap it almost begs you to enjoy it during your meal.

Need to know

Skopelos is a seasonal island. Its "lively" months range from May through September/October. If you visit outside of those months, many restaurants and hotels will be closed. The best way to get around will be by car. You’ll also likely come to the island by ferry from Skiathos, I would recommend spending some time there as well.
