Day 1: Broughton Street, riverfront & Christmas market

Arrive in Savannah in the afternoon, check into your hotel, and set out to explore the city’s charming streets. Start with a stroll down Broughton Street for some light shopping, then treat the family to a scoop at Leopold’s Ice Cream, a vintage favorite since 1919. Wander toward River Street to enjoy the scenic riverfront, stopping at Savannah Honey Company for unique honey-based gifts and River Street Sweets for a sweet treat.
Head west to the Plant Riverside District to browse the festive Christmas market, where handcrafted jewelry, home-mixed seasonings, and local stories await. Grab dinner at Graffito Pizza, known for its inventive pies and fun atmosphere. For a special walking dessert break, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with strawberries or a Belgian waffle. On your way back, take a leisurely stroll along W. Saint Julien Street, perhaps picking up a pack of Bryd’s Cookies—key lime coolers are a family favorite—before returning to your hotel to rest after a fun first day in Savannah.
Day 2: Wander Savannah's streets

Start the morning slowly with a cozy breakfast at the hotel, then lace up your walking shoes to explore more of Savannah’s beautiful streets. Stroll up and down each block, marveling at the colorful homes, unique architecture, and Southern charm framed by majestic live oaks draped in Spanish moss. By the riverfront, enjoy the peaceful vibe of the city and take some fun family photos.
Make a stop at the JW Marriott lobby to see a 135-foot chrome-dipped dinosaur skeleton, oversized geodes and gemstones, fossils, a prehistoric tortoise shell, and an Ice Age bear skeleton. If anyone needs a little pick-me-up, Turbine Market + Café has kid-friendly drinks and snacks. The Christmas market opens at 11 am, giving your family a second chance to explore the stalls without the evening crowds, enjoy festive live music, and soak in the holiday magic together at your own pace.
