Curator’s statement
Tofino is the type of place that just “works perfectly” for a honeymoon. The energy is so calming, strikingly beautiful in every direction you look, and the vibes feel cozy and romantic. Long-stretched beaches make it feel like it’s entirely yours, and the fresh-caught seafood with a glass of wine at dinner transports you to that feeling of your summer cottage days.

Things to do in Tofino

Chesterman Beach in the morning
The best itinerary for the perfect mix of downtime and exploration in Tofino looks like this:
Take a surf lesson at one of their amazing surf schools. Surf Sister Surf School or Pacific Surf School are both great options!
Then grab a beer at the Tofino Brewery on your way home from surfing.
Book a couples massage at the Wickaninnish Inn. Their private spa cabin is directly tucked away on the beach so you can hear the sounds of the waves during your massage.
Dine at sunset at the Pointe Restaurant at the Wickaninnish Inn. Ask for a table in their main dining room next to the window.
Book a private sauna session at Tuff City Saunas at Mackenzie Beach.
Go for a hike around Ponsford Island or Tonquin Beach.
Watch the sunset from Chesterman Beach.
Places to eat & drink in Tofino

Custom cocktail at The Wolf in the Fog
Coffee and bagels in the morning are the best from the coffee shop called “The Beach Shack” at Cox Bay Beach.
Grab a fish taco at the original Tacofino van just off the beach
Have lunch at Shelter restaurant. Order the seafood! The mussels and oysters are sourced locally from the area
Stop at Wolf in the Fog for dinner. Or before or after dinner, stop in for a cocktail. Their bartenders are amazing!
Need to know
Getting here can be a bit tricky! Since the island is very remote. I’d recommend flying into the local airport or renting a car and taking the ferry from either Victoria or Vancouver.
