Curator’s statement

We are big skiers and just bought a place in Park City but have never been in the summer. We were excited to see all the things Park City has to offer in the warm weather that we can't do in the winter time. Our kids had an absolute blast with endless activities and spending the 4th of July there with all the events going on makes it an extra special place to be for the 4th.

Things to do in Park City

A woman and a kid wearing helmets and nd posing outdoors.
  • Take the gondola up from the base in Canyons Village to see the beautiful landscapes or explore one of the many hiking trails at the base of Red Pine Lodge.

  • Visit Adventure Park at the base of Park City Mountain. My kids loved the mountain coaster, alpine slide and kids ropes course.

  • Take a drive out to the Lodge at Blue Sky and have lunch at the High West Distillery. They have an amazing patio with incredible views. You can also take a tour of the distillery and do a whiskey tasting.

  • Walk up and down main street to visit the many art galleries and shops.

  • Rent e-bikes from Pedego Electric Bikes and ride on the rail trail which is about a 2 hour loop around Park City. I have been coming to PC for years and have never seen it from those vantage points before. We put seats on the back of mine and my husband's bikes for the kids.

  • If you are there for the 4th of July, there is an awesome parade down main street. Definitely not something to miss!

  • Visit the farmer's market in the cabriolet parking lot at the base of The Canyons on Wednesdays.

  • Ride the funicular up to the St. Regis in Deer Valley for lunch.

  • Check out live music in Canyon's Village.

Breakfast

  • Five5eeds - Amazing breakfast spot but make sure to get there early. Really good coffee and banana bread.

Lunch

  • High West Distillery at The Lodge at Blue Sky.

  • Sammy's Bistro - Great place for the kids. Awesome sandwiches and salads.
Ride the funicular up to the St. Regis and have lunch at Brasserie 7452 and sit on the patio.

Dinner

  • Aprés Pendry - The lobby restaurant at The Pendry. Had outdoor seating with live music. Was perfect for the kids so they could play and run around in the grass right off the patio.

  • Kita - Japanese steakhouse. Awesome sushi and really accomodating for the kids despite it being a super upscale restaurant. Ordered the Octopus appetizer which was excellent.

  • Dos Olas - Authentic Mexican food right outside of The Pendry and Canyon's Village.
