Things to do in Mexico City

Lucha Libre at Arena Mexico
I visited the iconic Frida Kahlo House Casa Azul, located in the charming Coyoacan neighborhood. You will need to pre-book tickets to visit and I advise going around lunchtime so that you can have lunch at the San Angel Inn. It's across the street from Frida's famous home. This is where Frida was born and where she died.
Spend a day in the Unesco World Heritage designated district of Xochimilco. Take one of the famous canal boat tours to see the floating gardens as you listen to mariachi music. This would be an all-day excursion as the canal boats can be slow with all the traffic on them.
Buy tickets to Lucha Libre and prepare yourself for a fun-filled evening of Mexico's beloved "sport" of professional wrestling. The 14,000-seat indoor arena that was built in the 50’s is a sight to behold.
The city contains numerous beautiful parks, my favorite was Chapultepec. It is a true oasis. Be sure to visit the Museo Nacional de Antropología and Chapultepec Castle. It's as big as Central Park in New York City.
Take a guided tour of The Metropolitan Cathedral and Templo Mayor in the historic city center. While you are there, be sure to pay a visit to Palacio National to see the murals.
Places to eat & drink in Mexico City

Dessert at Contramar
Tacos La Chala - Open 24 hours a day and a local favorite. This is a no frills place that is very delicious.
El Califa de León - The carnitas tacos are amazing
Al Andalus - A Lebanese food set in a beautiful 17th century colonial building in Centro Historico. It's one of the oldest Middle Easern restaurants in Mexico City . The Kibbe is amazing, I loved all the starters.
San Angel Inn in Coyoacan- It was once a monastery. Ask to be seated outside in the courtyard.
Lago Algo - An experience of food and art located in Chapultepec Park
Rosetta - A delicious meal (same owners as bakery). Highly rated, the food is exceptional. Not to mention the restaurant is beautiful.
Contramar - For seafood, including their famous grilled fish dish (red snapper that is red and green). While the fish is incredible, the real treat was the dessert tray at the end that you get to pick from.
