Mexico's capital is rich in culture, history and art. It is a wonderful year-round destination that is having a moment. It's a UNESCO City of Gastronomy; the food scene is incredible. It has countless unique neighborhoods, where you can enjoy many shops and restaurants. The locals are both friendly and hospitable making your visit enjoyable.

The history of the 20th century is right before your eyes in Berlin. From the dark days of WWII through the years of a divided city. Until now, the modern capital of Germany is right there for you to experience in numerous ways. See how industrial and historic spaces have been both reimagined and repurposed. Berlin is a modern western capital that is thriving thanks to the new generations of Berliners. From museum row to the Mitte neighborhood, Berlin is one cool capital.

In October of 2022, my husband and I cycled from Northeast Vermont to the Province of Quebec. While taking in the beautiful fall colors of the region, we rode through quaint towns, river valleys, charming rural neighborhoods and along serene roads with beautiful views. We spent two nights at Manoir Havoy in North Hatley Canada, where the colors and lake side views were unforgettable.

Nestled between Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River, Crescent City is thriving. Its neighborhoods are humming with a spirit that is unique to this beautiful city. Being there in early November is inviting. The crowds are manageable and the weather is ideal as it's not too hot and very little precipitation. The lack of crowds creates a welcoming environment for visitors and allows one to connect with locals better.

Step into the world of whales, rainforest and majestic beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Tofino is located on Vancouver Island’s magnificently rugged west coast. Walk along expansive sandy beaches to reconnect with mother nature. Tofino is recognized by many as the surfing capital of Canada. A wonderful place to see both in the summer and winter. Discover the UNESCO Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve, a true marvel in BC, Canada.

Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, is truly a gem. Charming canals, cozy cobble stone streets, historic architecture and eclectic culture. Amsterdam has world-class museums to see including the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House. The city is also recognized for its liberal and diverse atmosphere, with a progressive approach to social issues. Bicycles are a popular mode of transportation, and the city is characterized by narrow houses, tulip markets and windmills.

Truckee is a beautiful small town located in the Sierras with countless outdoor recreational activities available to everyone. If you love skiing, hiking, biking, tennis or just enjoying scenic beauty, it might be the place for you. At 6000 feet a little town nestled within the Sierra Nevada mountain range, has been our family summer home for the past 15 years.
Truckee’s own Donner Lake is both beautiful and accessible. Lake Tahoe is only 15 miles away. The town's small-town charm, and its location in the Sierra Nevada make it a perfect year round destination.
