Things to do in Las Vegas

Artistic Iron, Artist District Las Vegas

  • Seven Magic Mountains and Red Rock Canyon: Seven Magic Mountains is an art installation featuring painted rock stacks. Red Rocks Canyon is a fantastic place to walk, run, hike, bike, climb, ATV, or even do a 13-mile scenic drive around the iron clad red mountains.

  • Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, The Valley of Fire: A few other iconic destinations that require a half day. Hoover Dam is best for history lovers and The Valley of Fire is the filming location for many movies and great for nature lovers.

  • Antelope Canyon or The Grand Canyon’s West Rim: These tours might be a full day, but the views and experience are well worth it!

  • AREA15 is an immersive entertainment district where art, nightlife, and experiences collide. It’s packed with quirky shops, immersive experiences such as MeowWolf’s OmegaMart, Oddyssey Manor, and playful spots to grab a bite or drink.

  • Arts District: A vibe-y desert neighborhood, with beautiful graffiti and art, juxtaposed by the looming Stratosphere in the background. Wander down S. Main St. where you’ll find graffiti-clad buildings, unique art galleries and stop by The Antique Mall and Artistic Iron.

  • Punk Rock Museum: Take in the full history of punk rock music, grab a cocktail or even a tattoo. Check their website, especially for guided tours with punk rockers such as CJ Ramone.

  • Mob Museum: Attend a talk by former mobster Frank Calabrese and have an Italian Soda made with the museum’s own moonshine. Check the website for special jazz nights in the speakeasy and daily experiences like forensic investigations and firearm training.

  • Neon Sign Boneyard: Step into Vegas history where vintage signs shine bright after dark. I highly recommend a tour to explore the city’s roots in history and entertainment.

Places to eat & drink in Las Vegas

Cinnamon bites at 18Bin

  • Esther’s Kitchen: This Arts District staple is the go-to spot for homemade pasta, pizza, and sourdough bread. This is the best-kept secret in Las Vegas.

  • The Velveteen Rabbit will take you on a travel odyssey through time with its unique drink menu. Venture back in time to the first technicolor movie with the “Flowers and Trees” or bring Tupac back with “The Resurrection”.

  • 18Bin: Great local spot with a live DJ and bottomless mimosas.

  • Bungalow Coffee: The best spot to caffeinate. This place always has a great vibe, amazing staff, and a robust drink menu. Try the almond croissant, it will change your life!

  • Sadelle's: In the Bellagio. Book this for brunch.

  • Eggslut: Perfect grab-and-go breakfast in the Cosmo.

  • STK: $7 happy hour daily from 2:30–5:30 in the Cosmo.

  • Havana 1967: Cubana restaurant from Miami, great food and mojitos.

  • Caspian’s Rock + Roe in Caesar’s: Live music every night and amazing drinks. This was one of our favorite spots on the trip.

  • Vanderpump’s: Check out one of the multiple locations for beautifully presented cocktails.
