Where to stay

Day 1: EPCOT

EPCOT is where you will see Disney magic in full bloom.

EPCOT is the perfect way to ease into the Disney experience. It’s an ideal park for learning how Lightning Lanes work without the pressure of nonstop headliner rides. Kids can immediately connect with familiar favorites like Frozen Ever After and The Seas with Nemo & Friends, while adults enjoy the open layout and slower pace. It sets a confident, low-stress tone for the rest of the trip.

Day 2: Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is full of big smiles, bigger nostalgia, and a whole lot of Toy Story magic.

Now it’s time to go all in. Hollywood Studios packs big thrills, beloved characters, and some of the most popular rides on property. With your Lightning Lane strategy already dialed in from Day 1, this is the day to maximize ride reservations while balancing shows for little ones and heart-pounding attractions for thrill seekers. It’s high-energy Disney at its best.

Day 3: Animal Kingdom

A safari break is exactly what is needed mid-trip.

Animal Kingdom offers a welcome change of pace mid-trip. As the smallest park, it’s easy to experience the highlights by late afternoon or early evening. Early mornings are rewarded here, and the immersive environments feel both calming and awe-inspiring. Finishing earlier also creates space for rest, which makes a huge difference heading into your final day.

Day 4: Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom, where fairytales float right past the castle.

Ending at Magic Kingdom lets your trip finish on the highest possible note. This is the park most people picture when they think of Disney, and saving it for last makes the experience feel truly magical. From classic attractions to the emotional pull of the nighttime fireworks, it’s the perfect place to slow down, soak it all in, and maybe shed a few happy tears before heading home.

Need to know

1. Commit to one park per day

Park hopping sounds tempting, but on a short trip it burns time and energy fast. One park per day keeps logistics simple, reduces transportation fatigue, and lets you fully experience each park instead of constantly watching the clock.

2. Learn Lightning Lanes before you arrive

Do not wait until your first morning in the parks to figure this out. Watch a quick walkthrough, understand booking windows, and know the difference between Lightning Lane selections and standby. Once you’re comfortable, Disney feels manageable instead of chaotic.

3. Rope Drop matters more than staying late

Early mornings are your secret weapon. The first 60–90 minutes of the day are the lowest wait times you’ll see. Late nights sound magical, but they hit harder when you’re stacking four park days back to back.

4. Build in a “lighter” day

Not every park needs to be an endurance test. Having a naturally shorter or calmer park day gives your feet, patience, and kids a reset.

5. Give yourself grace

There will be missed rides, small meltdowns, and plan changes. A successful Disney trip isn’t about perfection. It’s about shared moments, flexibility, and letting the magic find you instead of chasing it.
