Advisor - A Family-Friendly Vacation at The Palms Turks and Caicos
Curator’s statement

I have learned that traveling with kids makes the experience even more special. We were blessed to take our family to The Palms in beautiful Turks and Caicos. Seeing it through their little 3- and 4-year-old eyes made it one of our most memorable vacations yet! The Palms is located on Grace Bay Beach, which is one of the most beautiful stretches of beaches in the world. The calm, crystal-clear water makes it perfect for traveling with little ones. Everything at this resort was exceptional—the oceanfront suite was breathtaking and massive, the food was amazing, and the pool and beach areas were unmatched. We also loved the fact that it is a smaller resort, so if we were on the beach and needed something from the room, it was a quick and easy walk. Our kids also loved the kids club on property. Their favorite experience here was catching lizards! The Palms is a wonderful, luxurious vacation spot for families or couples looking to experience the best of Turks and Caicos.

Things to do in Turks and Caicos

Snorkel tour boat

One of the most convenient things about staying at the Palms is there is a tour operator that leaves right from the beach, making it extremely easy to hop on a boat!

  • Snorkel tour: This will take you across the crystal-clear waters to vibrant coral reefs where you will see fish, sea turtles, and dolphins. Even at ages 3 and 4, my kids loved this! There is also an awesome slide from the boat!

  • Half Moon Bay: We could have spent all day here! It is a stunning stretch of sandbar nestled between the ocean and the calm lagoon waters of Little Water Cay. It is perfect for swimming, picnicking, and exploring.

  • Iguana Island: This is a protected sanctuary that is home to the rare rock iguanas. You can stroll around boardwalks and spot these gentle reptiles up close. My kids loved this!

  • Mermaid adventure tour: This is a semi-submarine tour that offers a unique underwater experience where you can see marine life from an air-conditioned cabin below the surface, complete with individual viewing windows, and meet a real-life mermaid. Of course, my kids loved this, too!

Places to eat & drink in Turks and Caicos

Grouper at Si Si

At The Palms

  • Si Si: Absolutely get the grouper wrap for lunch and the grouper entree for dinner!

  • Parallel 23: Eat in the courtyard. All of the food was amazing!

  • Plunge pool swim-up bar: We spent a lot of time here. It was shallow for the kids and they also had tables in the water.

Off property

  • Coco Bistro: Try their famous coconut pie!

  • Da Conch Shack: Try their wonderful conch dishes.

  • Mr. Grouper's Restaurant: Laid-back atmosphere with amazing seafood options.

Need to know

  • If within budget, try to get an oceanfront room at The Palms. The views are unreal!

  • Definitely have a spa day or two at The Palms.

  • Take advantage of the tours. You want to be out on the water in Turks!

  • If looking for all-inclusive options, I suggest Alexandra Resort or Beaches.
