Advisor - Cabo for Two: A Sophisticated Getaway on Medano Beach
Curator’s statement

Cabo San Lucas holds a special place in the chapters of our travels—etched in golden light, warm breezes, and the rhythm of waves that linger long after we’ve left. Each corner of this coast has its own soul: the quiet charm of San José del Cabo, the refined calm of the Corridor, and the wild beauty of the Pacific-facing shores. But it’s Medano Beach that captured our hearts most deeply, where mornings began barefoot in the sand and evenings ended beneath candlelight and stars. It’s a place where time slowed, laughter echoed across the water, and every moment—no matter how small—felt unforgettable. For couples seeking something both vibrant and tender, luxurious and soulfully simple, Medano Beach offers more than just a destination. It offers memories to hold onto.

Things to do in Cabo

SUR Beach Club, Medano Beach

SUR Beach House: My favorite place on Medano Beach

Of all the places along Cabo’s coast, SUR Beach House holds my heart. Nestled right on Medano Beach, it’s a dreamy escape made for lingering with someone you love. Think plush daybeds, warm sand beneath your feet, and handcrafted margaritas served with a view of Land’s End. Share fresh ceviche, soak in the music drifting from the DJ booth, and watch the sky turn gold together. It’s effortless, elegant, and always unforgettable—my go-to spot for a beach day.

Rooftop 360°: Afternoon to sunset

Perched nine stories above Medano Beach, Rooftop 360° at Corazón Cabo is the place to spend slow, golden afternoons wrapped in sun. The infinity pool stretches toward the sea, blending sky and water into one perfect horizon. Sip mezcal cocktails side by side, legs dangling in the water, the Arch watching silently in the distance. As the sun dips low, the city lights below begin to flicker, and the rooftop comes alive with music and warmth. It’s a place where time stands still.

Cabo yacht charter: sunset, champagne & just the two of you

Sail into golden hour aboard a private or semi-private yacht, where every detail is designed for romance. Whether you book the entire vessel or share a spacious deck with just a few other couples, the experience feels effortlessly intimate.
Glide past the iconic Arch, toast with champagne, and watch the sun melt into the sea. You can snorkel in hidden coves, lounge on deck with gourmet bites, or simply enjoy each other as the coastline drifts by. With options ranging from fully private charters to luxe small-group sunset cruises, it’s an unforgettable experience.

Sea-Doo on the bay

Launch across Medano Bay on a sleek Sea-Doo, wind in your hair, the Arch on the horizon, and nothing but open water ahead. With each turn, chase adrenaline and laughter—sometimes racing, sometimes drifting side by side in quiet awe. It’s the perfect blend of thrill and connection. Choose 30, 45, or 60 minutes.

Scuba diving

Cabo is considered one of the world’s premier diving spots. Cabo offers a rare dual-ocean experience, where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez—creating unmatched biodiversity and dramatic underwater landscapes. Known as the “Aquarium of the World,” its waters are home to over 800 marine species, from sea lions and turtles to mobula rays and seasonal whale sharks.

Dive sites like Neptune’s Finger and The Sandfalls reveal vertical rock walls, coral gardens, and surreal sand cascades. Big animal sightings—including bull sharks, hammerheads, and humpbacks—are common, especially near Cabo Pulmo, a nearby UNESCO Marine Reserve.

With year-round dive conditions and options for every skill level, Cabo delivers unforgettable experiences—whether you’re just starting out or chasing deep-sea thrills.

Parasailing

Strapped in side by side, you'll rise gently into the sky—lifted by wind, sunlight, and the sea below. From 600 feet up, Cabo stretches out in every direction: the Arch, Lover’s Beach, and the curve of Medano Bay shimmering like a dream.

Spa day

A spa day in Cabo is more than pampering—it’s a shared escape into serenity. At Corazón Spa, couples can begin with a beachfront massage as the waves roll in, followed by a calming hydrotherapy circuit with ocean breezes and aromatic steam. For deeper indulgence, the Waldorf Astoria Spa offers cliffside tranquility, blending Baja-inspired healing rituals with five-star luxury—think tequila scrubs, warm stone massages, and sweeping sea views.

SUP on Medano Bay

If you're looking for something peaceful, playful, and just for the two of you, stand-up paddleboarding on Medano Bay is the perfect escape. The water is calm and clear, the views stretch all the way to the Arch, and the experience feels effortlessly intimate. You’ll glide side by side across the sea, sharing quiet moments, gentle laughs, and maybe even a kiss beneath the sun. It’s light, refreshing, and just active enough to feel invigorating.

Places to eat & drink in Cabo

Bar Esquina, Bahia Hotel Medano beach

El Farallón

El Farallón feels like dining at the edge of the world—where crashing waves, candlelight, and ocean breezes create pure magic. You arrive through a lantern-lit tunnel carved into stone, then settle into a table perched above the surf, wrapped in sea air and soft guitar melodies. The menu is ocean-to-table at its finest: fresh catches displayed on ice, hand-selected and prepared simply to let the flavors shine. It's raw luxury, dramatic and intimate all at once—the kind of place where time slows, wine flows, and every glance across the table feels cinematic.

Hacienda Cocina y Cantina

Hacienda Cocina y Cantina captures the warmth of Mexico in every detail—from its terracotta arches and breezy palapa roof to the scent of lime and sea salt in the air. The view is pure Baja magic: Land’s End in the distance, waves gently rolling in as you dine steps from the shore. The menu honors the region’s coastal heritage with bright, flavorful dishes—think citrus-cured ceviche, fire-kissed shrimp aguachile, and tender octopus sliced paper-thin. Whether you're toasting with a smoky margarita, dipping into guacamole fresh from the molcajete, or watching the sky turn gold over dinner, it’s a place where every bite feels like a celebration.

The Office on the Beach

A Cabo classic—where the sand is your floor, the sea is your backdrop, and the margaritas arrive with flair. What began as a simple beach shack in the 1970s has grown into a vibrant Medano Beach icon, known for its upbeat vibe, oceanfront tables, and festive spirit that spills out onto the shore. The menu leans into coastal favorites like coconut shrimp and citrusy ceviche. Live music drifts through the air, bilingual servers keep the energy high, and every visit feels like a celebration. There’s nowhere in the world quite like it—The Office is pure Cabo charm, served with a splash of tequila and a view you’ll never forget.

Bar Esquina

Where Cabo nights come alive—stylish yet relaxed, with Mediterranean-inspired dishes and Baja flair. Just off Medano Beach, this lively spot serves wood-fired pizzas, fresh ceviche, and bold cocktails in a setting that buzzes with music and conversation.

Edith’s

A Cabo favorite, where ocean breezes and bold Baja flavors come together in perfect harmony. The setting is warm and festive—woven lanterns glow overhead, mariachi music floats through the night, and the scent of mesquite grills fills the air. The menu is rich with local charm: lobster tail, grilled catch of the day, handmade tortillas, and Caesar salad prepared tableside. It’s the kind of place where every detail feels personal, every course indulgent, and every evening worth lingering over. For couples seeking classic Cabo romance with a lively twist, Edith’s never misses.

Mezcal Bar at 1 Hotel Cabo

A hidden gem made for slow sips and soulful connection. Nestled in warm woods and soft candlelight, it offers an intimate escape just steps from the beach. The menu highlights small-batch mezcals and tequilas from across Mexico, each pour rich with character and history. Whether you're sharing a flight, discovering a smoky new favorite, or settling in with a signature cocktail, the experience feels both elevated and effortless. It’s the perfect place to toast the evening, linger over flavors, and let the Baja breeze carry you into the night.

Santos Destilados

A sanctuary for tequila and mezcal lovers. Founded by a passionate agave expert, this intimate tasting room showcases rare, small-batch spirits sourced from across Mexico. Complimentary guided tastings walk you through the stories, regions, and techniques behind each pour—whether it’s a crisp blanco, a smoky mezcal, or something truly unexpected. It’s not just a bar—it’s a masterclass in Mexico’s finest distillates, led by someone who lives and breathes the craft.

Need to know

Many of Cabo’s top restaurants, beach clubs, and sunset experiences book out days in advance—especially during high season and weekends. If you have your heart set on a special dinner (like El Farallón or Edith’s) or a prime daybed at a beach club, make reservations early—ideally before you even land. Your future self (and your partner) will thank you.
