Curator’s statement
Williamsburg is one of those neighborhoods where there’s always something new to discover, from restaurants and bars to parks and street art. I love the mix of incredible food, laid-back nightlife, colorful murals, and boutique hotels that give the area its own vibe. Even after living here, I still find something different every time I go out and explore. That mix of creativity, energy, and constant change is what makes Williamsburg such a standout.

Things to do in Williamsburg

Walking along the East River in Domino Park
Indulge in NYC’s best pizza: Grab a slice (or a whole pie) at neighborhood staples like Fini, L’Industrie, Joe’s, Best Pizza, Ace’s, and Leo—each with its own cult following.
Stroll through McCarren Park: A local hub for dog-walkers, runners, and weekend markets, perfect for people-watching or spreading out on the grass. On Saturdays, the park also hosts a lively farmers market with fresh produce, baked goods, and flowers.
Take in the view from Domino Park: Set along the East River, this modern park offers sweeping Manhattan views, a playground, and plenty of space to catch the sunset. On Sundays, stop by the farmers market for local vendors and seasonal finds.
Work (or lounge) at The Hoxton lobby: With big windows, chic design, and a steady buzz, it’s a go-to for laptop time or casual meetings over coffee.
Go shopping: Wander Bedford Avenue, North 6th, and Grand Street for everything from well-known brands to independent boutiques—plus plenty of hidden gems tucked away on side streets.
Take a pottery class at Choplet: Get hands-on with clay at this cozy studio offering classes for beginners and pros alike.
Play skee-ball at Full Circle Bar: A laid-back spot where you can sip a beer and challenge your friends to rounds of classic arcade skee-ball.
Eat your way through Smorgasburg: On weekends, head to the waterfront for NYC’s iconic open-air food market with dozens of vendors serving inventive dishes, global bites, and over-the-top desserts.
Go for a drink: Williamsburg has a bar for every mood—from cozy cocktail spots to rooftops with skyline views. The neighborhood is also known for its brewery and wine bar scene, with standout stops like Brooklyn Brewery, Grimm Artisanal Ales, Talea Beer Co., Four Horsemen, and Sauced.
Take the ferry: Hop on the East River Ferry for a quick and scenic ride to nearby neighborhoods like Greenpoint, DUMBO, or Brooklyn Bridge Park—it’s a fun way to explore more of the city while soaking up waterfront views.
