Day 1: Visit Borough Market

Paella at Borough Market

The first day of travel is always the most exciting, so get your appetite ready—it’s time to start the adventure!

There’s no better way to start eating through London than at its most famous market, Borough Market, which showcases the city’s multicultural nature with endless food vendors—featuring Middle Eastern, Asian, and European cuisine—that come together to share their love of food. Weave through the market to smell and taste a variety of foods: Try the giant oysters, freshly made paella, and the quintessential Scottish egg. You also can’t go wrong with any of the cheeses or pastries.

Once you’ve eaten more than you ever thought you could, take a nice leisurely stroll on the Tower Bridge, where you’ll walk right toward the Tower of London, a historic castle located on the north bank of the river.

Once across the bridge, make your way to the Sky Garde, London’s highest public garden, featuring 360-degree views of the city’s iconic skyline. Your legs will be tired, so take the Tube to the Dishoom location in Covent Garden to have an early dinner—it’s an unbelievable culinary experience based on the food and culture of Bombay and represented in a modern but thoughtful way. Peruse the menu and try a variety of small plates, breads and dips, grilled items, and biryani.

After dinner, stroll over to the Mercato Mayfair—located in the former St. Mark’s Church—which has been converted into a food hall. There are so many delicious vendors to choose from. Badiani’s iconic gelato is a perfect way to end the evening.

Day 2: Go sightseeing & taste your way through Chinatown & Neal's Yard

Fresh oysters

For a light breakfast and some fuel before a day of sightseeing, stop by EL&N, a beautiful café featuring pastries and delicious coffees.

Today is all about the iconic parliament history of London, so make your way toward Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace, and then weave toward the Hyde Park Rose Garden and stroll along the rest of the park. All of that walking will certainly whet your appetite! Walk toward Selfridges, a unique shopping building that has some incredible restaurants, such as the Brass Rail, featuring hot salt beef sandwiches; Conchita’s, which offers tacos and burritos; and Honi Poke, known for its fresh poke bowls.

After lunch, walk toward Regent Street, which has a mix of high-street and designer stores and leads directly toward Piccadilly Circus, an iconic intersection that is likened to New York’s Times Square. Just past this intersection is Chinatown, which is always a fun area to sightsee and snack on bao buns or bubble tea. Walk a bit farther east and land at Homeslice in Neal’s Yard, where you can grab pizza by the slice for another delicious snack.

You might think you’re too full to have dinner at Hawksmoor for steak and seafood, but you’re not! Enjoy a great dinner there, with offerings such as oysters, chateaubriand, and beef dripping chips.

Day 3: Shop along Portobello Road & grab snacks at Camden Market

The Marylebone Bar

Start at Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill—the market is full of antiques, fashion, produce, and, of course, food like fish and chips, curry, and paella.

Weave down the neighborhood’s colorful houses and browse the unique shops within before eventually making your way to Camden Market, where you can eat your way through global tacos, naan sandwiches, Korean hot dogs, handmade pastas, and Portuguese custard tarts.

After this, make your way toward Marylebone to stop by Rococo Chocolates—a chocolate shop with the absolute best chocolates in town—before walking across the street for some bougie cocktails at The Marylebone.

Need to know

Mayfair is an exceptional area to stay because it is centrally located. Each day’s itinerary is plotted out between South, Central, and North London—based on where the hotel is—to most efficiently get through the city and see all of its wonderful sights.
