Advisor - Where's Hot In Miami Right Now
Curator’s statement

Having lived in Miami as a kid and spending time there every year since, I've always felt a special connection to this city. With the recent post-Covid boom, restaurant and hotel openings are hotter than ever in Vice City.

Where to stay in Miami

Things to do in Miami

  • Southe Pointe Park — the only place in Miami to catch both sunrise and sunset — head here for date-night, friendly catch-up or quality time with your four-pawed best friend.

  • Basement Skate & Bowl at The Miami Editino — Rainbow-colored bowl and skating rink designed for competitive socializing with a cocktail in hand. Located inside the eco-oasis, which is The Miami Edition.

  • Bal Harbour — shop till you drop and be in awe of this mall's design while you're at it.

  • Palm Beach — Take a day trip up north to Palm Beach. Have lunch at Le Bilboquet.

  • Reserve Padel — for a round of padel at sunset followed by a smoothie. The skyline views are incomparable.

  • Ultra Padel Club - A lifestyle padel club between Little River and Little Haiti in Miami. Ultra Padel Club is home to 15 outdoor courts and three indoor courts, plus additional children’s courts. Become a member to play with a trainer, or book with a friend for some outdoor fun.

  • Miami Pilates — From private to group sessions, Miami Pilates in Wynwood offers classes that combine exercises on Reformer and Cadillac machines – perfect for those looking to reach beyond their comfort zone.

  • Miami Design District — As one of Miami’s most creative neighborhoods, the Design District has become a popular shopping and strolling destination for both Miamians and visitors, filled with innovative fashion, art, design, architecture and dining options. One may find well-talked-about dining options such as Swan and Contessa, as well as up & coming boutiques, nestled between colorful buildings and vibrant art installations.

Day trips

  • Key Biscayne - Escape to one of Florida’s barrier islands – Key Biscayne. Ideal for picturesque beach walks, picnics by the lighthouse and stunning sunsets. Make sure to plan enough time for the way there and back as traffic builds up, particularly on this road from Miami. Although the drive might not be longer than 40 minutes, plan a good hour from door-to-door.

  • Palm Beach — Take a day trip up north to Palm Beach. Have lunch at Le Bilboquet.

Places to eat & drink in Miami

  • Château ZZ's - Major Food Group's newest state-of-the-art Mexican restaurant, housed inside a restored 1931 Brickell villa. Must-tries include the Tuna Tostados.

  • Casadonna - Surprisingly, one of the few waterfront restaurants in the city — @taogrouphospitality and @groothospitality have hit the spot with this one. Make sure to request a table outside.

  • Four Seasons at The Surf Club — If serenity was a place, this would be it. Enjoy the secluded pool area, grab a branded bike and ride along the ocean-paralleled path or have lunch at Lido Restaurant & Terrace. Round it all off with a drink at the Champagne Bar.

  • Forte dei Marmi - Andrea Reitano’s chic northern Tuscan corner in the South of Fifth neighborhood. Don’t miss the ‘Honey Onyx Pistachio Gelato’ tower.

  • The Den at Azabu — Michelin-starred omakase with a 3-type tuna selection of dreams. Accompany with a selection of traditional Japanese teas.

  • Queen - Inside what used to be the historic Paris Theater, you’ll now find one of Miami’s very few ‘entertainment dining’ spots. Indulge in Japanese plates while being entertained by acrobats and artists alike.

  • Mandolin - an Aegean Bistro in Miami’s Design District neighborhood — that no doubt contributed to the raise in popularity for Greek cuisine.

  • Medium Cool - European-style 1970s bar in South Beach. Come for jazz until 10 pm and live DJs after.

  • Carbone - Created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick, as part of the Major Food Group Carbone is an Italian-American restaurant located in the city’s South Beach. While known for its “Rigatoni A La Vodka”, guests may immerse themselves in a broad range of comforting Italian dishes, from various pasta to antipasti to share, as well as a bespoke Ceaser Salad that comes with its own security… On the downside, getting a table at Carbone is not as easy as enjoying their rigatoni, so make sure to book months in advance and lend a hand from one of the city’s prime concierges, if you can.

  • Hiyakawa - Located in Wynwood, Hiyakawa is a contemporary Japanese restaurant with both counter and regular table seating. For really fresh sushi rooted in authenticity, that’s where you should be heading. From the menu, highlights include ‘Herusame Salad’ and ‘Nasu Dengaku’, alongside a chef’s selection of nigiri.

  • Casa Tua — Hidden behind extensive foliage in Miami’s Art Deco District, Italian restaurant Casa Tua is known for its irresistible ambiance and authenticity, especially felt in its garden oasis. Translating into “your home”, this restaurant feels exactly how it’s called — best for a night of comfort food, espresso martinis and catch-ups.
