Day 1: Settle into the Grand Lifestyle

Check into the Grand Hotel Wien. One of the most luxurious hotels in Austria. Since its opening in 1870, this hotel has achieved fame and notoriety by being at the very hub of Viennese social life... as it still is today. After getting settled in, enjoy an afternoon spa treatment at Grand Spa No605, located right in your hotel.

For dinner visit Vienna’s schnitzel mecca: Figlmüller. A historical family-owned business that has been open since 1905.

Day 2: History and Treasures

After a great breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide for An Introduction to Vienna Tour. You’ll gain a rich overview of the Innere Stadt’s major sites and enjoy immersion into Viennese culture – from waltzes and pastries to world-class museums and classical music. At lunch time visit the historic Café Demel and make sure to try their world-famous Sachertorte. Demel has been a staple since 1786 and its interiors are fit for royalty.

Time to visit the Imperial Treasury Vienna, a captivating destination that showcases the opulence and grandeur of the Habsburg dynasty. As you step into the Treasury, you'll be mesmerized by the dazzling display of imperial regalia, including crowns, scepters, and orbs, adorned with precious gemstones and intricate craftsmanship. Once you’re done marveling at these treasures enjoy some free time before dinner.

For dinner you are headed to Steirereck, a recipient of two Michelin Stars. Steirereck prides itself on its commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This high-end establishment is renowned for its refined and innovative cuisine, elevating traditional Austrian dishes to new heights. With its elegant dining room and charming terraces offering picturesque views of the Wien Fluss, Steirereck provides a captivating setting for a memorable meal.

Day 3: A Palace and the Opera!

This morning you will enjoy a tour of Belvedere Palace & Museum. Go on a journey of discovery through the formal gardens and lavish summer palace of Prince Eugene of Savoy – one of the most successful military commanders of all time. After the tour enjoy some free time to explore and do some shopping. I recommend a visit to the Museumsquartier area for a dose of art and culture.

Dress up for a lovely evening and have an early dinner at Wagemut Kavalierbar inside your hotel. This restaurant provides a beautiful view across Vienna's most famous boulevard. Then head out a few steps away from your hotel to the Vienna Operahouse. Also known as the Wiener Staatsoper, this is a world-renowned cultural landmark and a must-visit destination for any traveler to Vienna. As you step inside, you'll be captivated by the opulent interiors adorned with chandeliers, marble columns and intricate details. Immerse yourself in the world of classical music and opera.

After the Opera, take a stroll through the city and enjoy a cocktail at one of Vienna's top bars:

  • Loos American Bar - Moody art deco bar dating back to 1908. Go for the classic interiors and stay for the great drinks!

  • Das Loft - Great rooftop bar with city views through floor-to-ceiling windows.

  • Moby Dick - Innovative bar concept priding itself on sustainability.

  • Klenoid - A 1930s-inspired cocktail bar with a roof terrace perfect for a glamorous, grown-up evening.

Day 4: Last morning in Vienna

Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel and explore Karlsplatz and St. Charles's Church, a breathtaking masterpiece of Baroque architecture, known for its majestic dome and opulent interior. If you have free time before checking out, visit Ringstraßen Galerien, a contemporary multi-story shopping mall with an upscale collection of stores and cafes. It is not too far from your hotel.

Now it is time to pack up and go on to your next adventure!
