Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Paulo Mchome to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met and transferred to Legendary Lodge for the night (all-inclusive).

Day 2: Fly to North Serengeti

Great wildbeest migration

Today, you will have breakfast and drive to Arusha airport for the morning flight to Northern Serengeti, where you will enjoy a game drive to the northern part of Serengeti (where the migration should be in August) near the Mara River in the hopes of seeing some of the migratory crossing.

The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle—the 1.5 million wildebeest’s endless migration in search of fresh pastures. Each year, they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is at Serengeti

Accommodation: Overnight at Lemala Kuria Hills Tented Lodge (all-inclusive).

Day 3: River crossings in the Northern Serengeti

Cheetah in Serengeti

Today, enjoy a full day of game drives in the Northern Serengeti.

While every aspect of the Great Migration delivers a unique wildlife viewing experience, the river crossings are not to be missed. This dramatic event showcases nature at its rawest. Life and death hang in the balance in a survival of the fittest among the large herds as they battle hungry crocodiles, and hippos, as well as turbulent waters in their search for greener pastures.

Accommodation: Overnight at Lemala Kuria Hills Tented Lodge (all-inclusive)

Day 4: North - Central Serengeti

King of the jungle in Serengeti National Park

Today you will enjoy half of the game drive in Northern Serengeti, then later on the evening you will drive back to Central Serengeti, and enjoy the game drive on the way.

The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year-round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel. Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June–November) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest, and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lions and leopards.

Accommodation: Overnight at Serengeti Four Season Lodge (all-inclusive)

Day 5: Central Serengeti

Safari vehicles

Today you will have a full day of game drives in Central Serengeti.

The Serengeti National Park is the world’s last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The area covers 14,763 sq kms and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains.

Accommodation: Overnight at Serengeti Four Seasons Lodge. All meals included

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Half-day game drive in Serengeti and then you will drive to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. There are several documented resident lion prides just within a one-hour game drive radius from Seronera. During the dry season, the resident prides begin to shift west and north in their territories and concentrate in the central region of the park. The dry season is a particularly good time for lion viewing in the Central Serengeti. The Central Serengeti is also one of the best areas in Africa to spot the elusive leopard. You may be lucky enough to encounter this majestic cat in the branches of the sausage trees that dot the banks of the Seronera River.

Accommodation: Later on in the day, you will head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight at The Highlands Lodge in Ngorongoro.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater-Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater

Today, after breakfast, you descend into the crater for a crater game tour. Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago, the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps, and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals—including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest.

Later on the evening, you will drive back to Arusha and proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home. Breakfast, lunch, and drinking water will be provided every day per person during the safari.
