Curator’s statement
Curaçao was the perfect warm weather getaway for total R&R for me this spring! An island perfect for beach lovers seeking a less crowded Caribbean experience.

Things to do in Curaçao

Grote Knip Beach
Explore Punda and Otrabanda, the key towns of Curaçao's capital, Willemstad. If you’re in town on a Thursday, don’t miss the weekly fireworks show.
Local eats: Check out the Floating Market, and stock up on delicious fresh fruits. Afterwards, grab lunch at the local food hall, Plasa Bieu. Make sure to try fresh fish, goat stew, or iguana soup.
Beach hop: Curaçao is home to some of the Caribbean’s best beaches. Jump in your rental car and head out west to explore. A few of my favorite beaches were Cas Abao, Daaibooi, and Grote Knip.
Visit a beach club: If you’re looking for a more lively experience, head to Mambo Beach. For a quieter, full-service beach club, visit Koko.
Head out for a hike: Curaçao has a fairly mountainous terrain in it's interior; visit Shete Boka National Park and climb to the top of Mount Christoffel for sweeping views. Start early, and bring plenty of water.
Places to eat & drink in Curaçao

Lemon Beach
Rozendaels: For a more upscale, romantic dinner.
Bliss the Berry: Acai bowls and brunch galore. Very Instagrammable spot, but the food is up to par.
Grand Cafe Gouverveur de Rouville: An iconic restaurant with excellent views at sunset. Mix of local and international dishes.
Kome: A can’t miss spot. Excellent international and dishes in a chic setting. Be sure to make reservations.
Soi95: For Asian fusion.
Taqueria Maya: Excellent tacos. Hop over to Mundo Bizarro afterwards for dancing and a nightcap.
Lemon Beach: Great for all-day dining, or just for a drink. Part of the Art Hotel Curacao.
Need to know
Pro tip: Get a rental car. Some of the best beaches are on the west end of the island, and there are not a ton of hotel options out west. Driving is easy, well marked and well-paved roads, and the same side as the U.S./Canada.
