Curator’s statement
Greece was already a place I loved, but experiencing it with my family gave it an entirely new meaning. This trip blended everything I value in travel—intentional moments, elevated stays, and unforgettable coastal views. From the history of Athens to the beaches of Crete and the iconic cliffs of Santorini, each stop offered something unique. It’s the kind of trip that feels both luxurious and deeply meaningful—one you’ll carry with you long after you return home.

Day 1: Arrival in Athens & acclimation

Arrive in Athens in the morning or early afternoon and transfer to your hotel to settle in after your travels. Ease into the city with a relaxed walk through nearby neighborhoods like Plaka or Koukaki, where cobblestone streets, small shops, and local cafés offer a gentle introduction to Athens. Stop for a coffee or light bite along the way and take your time soaking in the atmosphere.
Keep your first day intentionally unhurried—this is about adjusting to the time difference while still enjoying your surroundings. In the evening, opt for a relaxed dinner, ideally at a rooftop restaurant with views of the Acropolis, and take in your first glimpse of the city as it begins to glow at night.
Day 2: Iconic Athens & ancient landmarks

Plan your visit to the Acropolis for early morning or later in the afternoon to avoid peak crowds and midday heat. Explore the Parthenon and surrounding ruins, taking in sweeping views over the city and one of the world’s most significant historic sites. Afterward, visit the Acropolis Museum to gain deeper insight into the artifacts and history behind what you’ve seen.
In between, spend time exploring Monastiraki Square and the surrounding neighborhoods, where markets, shops, and cafés offer a lively contrast to the ancient landmarks. Pause for a relaxed lunch at a local taverna and take in the energy of the city. As the day winds down, enjoy dinner at a rooftop restaurant with views of the Acropolis, offering a completely different perspective as it lights up at night.
Day 3: Day trip to Corinth & coastal escape

Corinth
Take a day trip outside the city to Corinth, where history and coastal scenery come together just a short drive from Athens. Begin with a stop at the Corinth Canal, an impressive engineering feat that’s well worth a quick photo and moment to take it in. Continue on to Ancient Corinth to explore the ruins and archaeological site, offering a deeper look into Greece’s classical past without the crowds of Athens.
The journey itself is part of the experience, with stretches of coastal views along the way. Take your time exploring, and consider a relaxed lunch nearby before heading back to Athens. Return to the city in the late afternoon or evening and enjoy a slower night—whether that’s a casual dinner or one last stroll through your favorite neighborhood.
Day 4: Travel to Crete & Chania exploration

Travel from Athens to Crete, arriving in the Chania region, known for its Venetian harbor and relaxed coastal charm. After checking into your hotel, spend the afternoon easing into a slower pace as you explore the old town. Wander through the harbor, where colorful buildings, waterfront cafés, and small boutiques create a distinctly different feel from Athens.
Take your time getting lost in the narrow streets, stopping for a coffee, local shops, or a leisurely lunch along the water. As the evening approaches, settle in for a relaxed dinner featuring fresh seafood and Cretan specialties. This is where the trip begins to shift—less about rushing to see everything, and more about experiencing it.
Day 5: Elafonissi Beach escape

Set out for Elafonissi Beach, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Known for its soft pink-hued sand and shallow, crystal-clear waters, it offers a calm, almost lagoon-like setting that feels worlds away from the busier parts of the island. The drive itself is part of the experience, winding through scenic landscapes before opening up to the coast.
Plan to arrive earlier in the day to enjoy the beach at its most peaceful, with plenty of time to swim, relax, and take in the surroundings. The shallow waters make it easy to explore the area on foot, often walking between small stretches of sand and sea. Return to Chania in the late afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening, whether that’s a quiet dinner or a sunset along the harbor.
Day 6: Crete at your own pace

Spend your final day in Crete at a pace that suits your travel style, whether that means continued relaxation or a bit more exploration. For a scenic outing, consider visiting Balos Lagoon, known for its striking blue waters and dramatic coastal views. Alternatively, stay closer to Chania, and enjoy a slower day—think a long seaside lunch, time by the pool, or wandering through the old town’s shops and cafés.
For those looking to immerse themselves further, a local food or wine experience offers a deeper taste of Cretan culture. However you choose to spend the day, this is your time to unwind and fully take in the island before continuing on to Santorini.
Day 7: Arrival in Santorini & cliffside views

Travel from Crete to Santorini, arriving to some of the most iconic views in Greece. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and take time to settle in before stepping out to explore. Whether you’re staying in Oia, Imerovigli, or Fira, the caldera views immediately set the tone for your time on the island.
Spend the afternoon wandering through whitewashed streets, boutique shops, and scenic pathways that overlook the Aegean Sea. As evening approaches, find a spot to take in Santorini’s famous sunset—whether from your hotel terrace or a nearby viewpoint. End the day with a relaxed dinner, soaking in the atmosphere that makes this island so unforgettable.
Day 8: Santorini at your own pace

Spend the day exploring Santorini beyond the views, taking time to experience the island’s charm at a slower pace. Wander through local shops and markets, where you’ll find everything from handcrafted goods to small boutiques tucked along the caldera paths. Step inside some of the island’s iconic whitewashed churches, known for their blue domes and quiet, scenic settings.
As the day unfolds, explore different parts of the island—whether that’s strolling through Oia, Fira, or Imerovigli, each offering its own perspective and atmosphere. You may choose to visit one of Santorini’s unique beaches or simply enjoy a long, leisurely lunch with a view. This is a day to move without a strict plan, allowing you to fully take in the beauty and rhythm of the island.
Day 9: Santorini’s volcanic beaches & Red Beach

Spend your final full day in Santorini exploring its dramatic volcanic coastline. Begin at Red Beach, one of the island’s most striking natural landscapes, where deep red cliffs meet dark sand and vivid blue water. It’s a unique setting that feels entirely different from traditional beach destinations and offers some of Santorini’s most memorable views.
From there, continue on to nearby beaches such as Kamari or Perissa, where black sand shores provide a more relaxed and accessible beach experience. Settle in for a leisurely afternoon, whether that’s enjoying a swim, lounging by the water, or having a seaside lunch at one of the many restaurants along the shore.
This day is all about slowing down and taking in the island’s natural beauty before your journey continues. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon to unwind and enjoy one final evening in Santorini.
Day 10: Return to Athens & reset

Travel from Santorini back to Athens, returning to the mainland for the final stretch of your journey. After checking into your hotel, take time to unwind and ease back into the rhythm of the city.
Spend the afternoon at a relaxed pace—whether that’s enjoying a leisurely lunch, stopping at a local café, or taking a light stroll through a nearby neighborhood. This is a moment to reset after island travel rather than fill the day with structured plans.
In the evening, head out for dinner and enjoy a final night in Athens, keeping the experience simple and unhurried.
Day 11: Private cruise along the Athens Riviera

Spend the day on the water with a private cruise along the Athens Riviera, sailing through the Saronic Gulf. This experience offers a relaxed and scenic perspective of the coastline, with opportunities to swim, unwind, and enjoy the open water.
Many private charters include light fare and drinks, allowing for a seamless and unhurried day at sea. Whether you choose a daytime or sunset cruise, it’s a memorable way to experience Greece from a different vantage point.
Return to Athens in the evening and enjoy a relaxed dinner, carrying that calm, coastal energy into your final day in the city.
Day 12: Final day in Athens & departure

Spend your final day in Athens at a relaxed pace, taking in any last moments of the city before your departure. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, revisit a favorite neighborhood, or take time for last-minute shopping and souvenirs.
This is a great opportunity to soak in the atmosphere one last time—whether that’s a quiet café, a scenic viewpoint, or a final stroll through the city streets. When it’s time to depart, enjoy a smooth transfer to the airport and begin your journey home.
Need to know
If you’re traveling along the Athens Riviera, consider stopping at Lake Vouliagmeni before or after your coastal drive. This natural thermal lake offers a calm, spa-like setting and is a perfect place to relax for a few hours. The mineral-rich waters stay warm year-round, making it an easy and memorable addition to your time in Athens.
