Day 1: Arrival & sunset romance

Once you're unpacked and settled into your hotel room, head to La Jolla Cove for a stroll along the cliffs to watch the sea lions. Quiet spots along the bluffs are perfect for sharing a moment together. If you're feeling adventurous, kayaks and snorkel gear are available to rent so you can get up close to the marine life.
Afterwards, enjoy dinner at George's at the Cove for a casual dining experience with panoramic ocean views and refined cuisine. End the day roasting marshmallows over a cozy bonfire on the beach before you head back to your hotel.
Day 2: Markets, tide pools & night out

To start the day, head to Breakfast Republic at Liberty Station for a unique spin on beloved classics. Afterwards, take a stroll through the Liberty Public Market and Point Loma Farmers Market to peruse hand-made ceramics, locally sourced produce, and artisanal food options.
Around noon, head to Cabrillo National Monument for the best viewing of the tide pools at low tide. Expect to see all kinds of vibrant sea life—anemones, starfish, limpets, and crabs—exposed in these conditions.
Once you're done at the tide pools, you have some options for how you spend your evening.
If you're feeling low-key, head to Balboa Park for a romantic stroll through Spanish courtyards and botanical gardens, followed by an intimate dinner at The Prado. After dinner, head back to the hotel for a lovely in-room couples massage provided by Epicurate.
If you're feeling adventurous instead, catch a rideshare to the Gaslamp Quarter, a hub for bars, lounges, and clubs. There's Moonshine Flats, a country-western bar and dance hall; Altitude Sky Lounge, a rooftop hot spot with expansive views of the skyline and San Diego Bay; or SideBar, an intimate boutique nightclub and lounge with live music. Dance the night away together and return to your hotel room safely with a pre-booked rideshare service.
Day 3: Brunch, wine tasting & sunset cruise

After a cozy morning in bed, start the day with brunch at Clayton's Coffee Shop on Coronado Island—a classic diner experience with a jukebox at each table and menu options for every appetite.
Afterwards, hop in the car and head to Bernardo Winery, near Escondido. Enjoy wine tasting, artisan shops, galleries, and The Kitchen restaurant in a historic setting.
After a quick drive back, meet your Sail San Diego captain for a private sunset cruise and end your day on the water, drink in hand, under cotton-candy skies.
Enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant and take time to celebrate.
Need to know
When you visit Cabrillo National Monument, make sure you wear sturdy shoes with good grip—rocks are slippery.
Early mornings and late evenings can be chilly, so packing light layers is recommended.
Booking cruises, activities, and spa services ahead of time is highly recommended, as they tend to get booked quickly.
