Need to know

Best time to Visit: May–June and September–October are ideal. The weather is still warm, but the crowds have thinned—perfect for relaxing and exploring at your own pace.

Marbella is incredibly walkable, especially around the Old Town and along the beach promenade. For a fun twist, rent an electric scooter and cruise the boardwalk with ease.

Visiting during peak season? Be sure to make reservations for restaurants, beach clubs, and popular activities well in advance.

Beach club etiquette: Most beach clubs have a dress code picture beachy casual or beach chic. Flip-flops and bikinis are fine for lounging, but dress up a bit for the bar or restaurant areas.

Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but it’s smart to carry some euros for small purchases, taxis, or markets.

Don’t miss the Old Town: Marbella’s Casco Antiguo is a must-see. With its winding alleys, whitewashed buildings, vibrant flowerpots, and charming squares, it’s one of the city’s most picturesque and authentic areas.

Taste the local wines: Spain has fantastic regional wines. Don’t leave without sampling a local Rioja, Albariño, or a glass of Sangria made right.

Time your visit with a festival: If your schedule allows, plan your trip around one of Marbella’s annual festivals. They offer an unforgettable glimpse into local culture, music, food, and traditions.
