Advisor - Kos, Greece: Beach, Food and Fun with Kids
Curator’s statement

My family and I just took a vacation to Kos Island and absolutely loved everything about it. Traveling around the island was super simple, the food was amazing, the sunsets and beaches were gorgeous, not to mention everyone we encountered was so nice and helpful. Plus we were able to do everything with my toddler, who had a blast and was never bored.

Things to do on Kos

  • Visit different beaches: I loved the freedom of having a car and being able to drive to a different beach every day. They all had a different vibe.

  • Thermal springs: Kos has a natural thermal spring that is a short drive from the old town of Kos. It’s quiet, relaxing, and just hot enough to make you appreciate the outside temperature.

  • Watch the sunset in Zia: This is a cute little town up the hill from the middle of the island. It has a few restaurants and amazing lookout points to watch the sun set.

  • Kos Old Town: Take a walk through the old town of Kos and soak in all the Greek vibes. It’s got ruins to explore, boats, and plenty of restaurants and shopping.

  • Boat cruise: Kos has many boat cruises leaving from the harbor every day. From booze cruises to island hopping to sailing, they have it all.

  • Kids Car Club: No stroller while in town? No problem! Let your kiddo drive, or ride while you control an electric car and walk around town in peace.

Places to eat & drink on Kos

  • Roots Restaurant and Bar: Amazing Greek food with the perfect view and a huge play place for kids.

  • Tam Tam: Situated right at the beach. Their food is almost as great as the sunset views, including a play area for kids.

  • Namaste Restaurant Beach Bar: You can enjoy delicious Greek food with a hint of Italian with a beach view and the most relaxing atmosphere.

  • COCO Beach Restaurant: If you’re looking for a meal while lounging at the beach, this is the place. Their yummy cocktails and broad menu will not disappoint.

Need to know

Everyone loves an all-inclusive resort, so you don’t have to worry about food or drinks. However, Kos Island has so much to offer from beaches to food to nature. Renting a car is super simple and cheap, with roads that are very easy to navigate. Choose a bed-and-breakfast resort and get out there to explore more.
