Day 1: Settling into lake life

Day one is all about settling into the serene rhythm of Limone Sul Garda. The morning is spent unwinding by one of the three hotel pools, followed by a refreshing dip in the lake’s clear waters. Lunch at one of the many restaurants in town, wander through the charming streets, discover boutiques, lemon-scented shops, and enjoy an ice cream along the waterfront.
Day 2: Lake Tenno

Day two begins with a short 15-minute drive from the hotel to Parco Grotta Cascata Varone, to visit the dramatic waterfall. Parking is limited, so be patient. It is worth it.
From there, continue on 15 minutes or so to Tenno, a picturesque medieval village perched on a hillside, perfect for a quick local lunch and amazing views. The All’Antica Croce is a perfect stop, right at the entrance of the small medieval town.
Continue onward for 10 more minutes to Lake Tenno, an emerald blue color I have never seen before. Walk the scenic trail, cross the suspended bridge, and swim in the refreshing waters. On your way back, stop at the town of Garda for an ice coffee, ice cream, or a spritz.
Day 3: Bike path and boating

Day three brings adventure and views. Rent a bike at Limone Bike Rental and make your way to the Limone sul Garda panoramic bike path. Perched high above the lake, it is a unique and unforgettable experience. Rent an e-bike for ease as the trail that leads to the beginning of this path is windy and a bit hilly. But much safer than biking on the two-way road. The afternoon is left open to relax, enjoy the beach, or rent a small boat and explore the lake from the water.
Day 4: Malcesine Old Town

Day four is a step back in time with a ferry ride to Malcesine. Explore the historic Castello Scaligero, soaking in the stunning views from the tower, followed by lunch in the charming old town.
After a leisurely stroll through its cobbled streets, ferry back to Limone Sul Garda just in time for sunset.
Need to know
Pack comfortable shoes, as many of the towns—especially Limone and Tenno—have cobblestone streets and hilly paths.
Renting an e-bike makes exploring the bike path and surrounding areas much easier, especially in the summer heat.
Ferries are a scenic and efficient way to explore towns along Lake Garda.
Even in popular spots, early mornings or evenings are the best times to enjoy a quieter, more local atmosphere.
Two amazing restaurants for dinner in Limone Sul Garda: Casa Bistrot L’Andrunel and Al Vecchio Fontec.
