Curator’s statement

Jamaica is an amazing destination with warm-hearted people, breathtaking natural beauty and vibrant culture. You can relax at luxurious all-inclusive resorts, then enjoy Jamaica's gorgeous, powdery sand beaches and chase waterfalls or ride ATVs near Jamaica's many rivers. Also known for the delicious cuisine, there are many restaurants with beautiful views throughout Jamaica. For the traveler that wants a mixture of relaxation, nightlife and adventure, Montego Bay is the perfect city for a birthday trip. Kick off your birthday trip in luxury by purchasing the Club MoBay airport lounge access at Sangster International Airport for an expedited customs process, then having a personal driver/tour operator pop a bottle of champagne and escort you to your resort with a van full of balloons.

Day 1: Bamboo rafting

Bamboo rafting on a river.

Enjoy Jamaica’s most relaxing excursion: bamboo rafting in Lethe, just outside Montego Bay. Take in the scenic route through the mountains to Lethe. After the captain guides you onto the bamboo raft, take a picture of Jamaica’s oldest bridge, enjoy a limestone foot massage, drink fresh coconut water and sample sweet sugar cane.

Dinner at the Sugar Mill Restaurant

Have your girls or bae get dressed in your best color-coordinated outfits for an amazing birthday dinner. The Sugar Mill is a fine dining experience at Half Moon, which is a Black-owned resort in Jamaica. Enjoy the romantic ambiance and try the fresh seafood. Designated as Jamaica's best restaurant, you won’t regret it!

Montego Bay Nightlife at Club Elevate

Club Elevate is one of the newest and hottest nightclubs in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Celebrate your birthday in Jamaica in style by reserving a table and bottle service.

Day 2: Horseback Riding, ATVs & ziplining

Sunset on a beach.

Chukka Adventure Park is a great place for a lot of fun and adventure. Visit Chukka for horseback riding, ATVs and ziplining and enjoy amenities like the pool and restaurant.

Party at Lounge 27/27

Another hotspot and guaranteed great time on the Hip Strip. Dance with the locals and party all night while overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Day 3: Waterfall excursion

Waterfall with trees at the back.

Visit one of Ocho Rios hidden gem waterfalls, a moment for rejuvenation and Instagram-worthy pictures. Then swim at the Blue Hole waterfall and finally, climb the famous Dunn’s River Falls. What a great birthday trip in Jamaica!

Day 4: Negril

Colorful popsicles on display at a freezer.

On your last day, take a day trip to Negril! Seven Mile Beach is one of the best in the world with it’s powdery white sand and crystal clear water. Make the most of this experience by wearing your best swimsuit and taking a beautiful drone photoshoot while posing in a clear kayak. Then hit the beach and order drinks at Black-owned Negril Treehouse Resort. End your day in Negril by watching the sunset at Rick’s Café and don’t forget to try a boozy Chill Pop on the way back to Montego Bay.
